About a year or so into the Frontier, I started up a companion game called the Sword of Doom. It used the same setting as Frontier, that being Gateway and the old Keln lands. The idea was that these adventurers arrived a little bit later than the Seekers had. Upon learning of a mission being sponsored by Sharadin, the Archmage of Gateway, they banded together to accept the quest for the Sword of Doom.

The Sword of Doom was a mythic artifact that a minor Keln noble used to vastly increase his personal power and standing. Exactly what the Sword was remained a mystery. Was it a weapon or something else entirely? That was a mystery for the Company of the Sword to solve. The quest for the Sword of Doom lasted 69 posts before it merged with the main Frontier game where the quest continued.

The name of the game was yet another recycled title of mine. I've made mention several times to King Victor, Muskateer's character who founded the Kingdom of Cynalon. What hasn't been mentioned was that he also went by the last name of Von Doom after the famous doctor. So, when I did do some written things with those characters, I called the series "The Sword of Doom", for obvious reasons. I liked it so much that I used it again for this game.
