Those of you who did make to 2nd level, now function at that level in all aspects.
In the aftermath of the hobgoblin attack, the Company learns of the Zombie Master through interrogation.
Most of you have heard of the Zombie Master, but overall, very little is known about this gentleman. The Temple of Azrella in Gateway is offering a reward for the destruction of the Zombie Master.
As you might expect, the Zombie Master dabbles with the undead. Talk has it that he is creating an army of undead, while others say that he is an insane necromancer. Perhaps both. The wounded party members are healed and the caravan moves on.
The rest of the trip is uneventful and Gerald's Fort is reached the next afternoon.
At the fort, the Company is approached by several adventurer's wishing to join up.
GM Notes:
You are now at Gerald's Fort. As mentioned previously, supplies can be purchased here. The Fort itself is little better than a dozen or so buildings surround be a stockade. There is a tavern and a flophouse.
Based on what the hobgoblins said, Zombie Master territory is north of here, along the road. The same direction you are traveling. A confrontation may be unavoidable.
Say hello to the new PC's! :)
Spectrum's Comments: Yep, more players already! With some folks having not posted for many weeks, it was time to deal with them while the group was in a civilized area. I did say that turn over was quite high on Q-Link!
SUBJ: Arathnasis (R) FROM: Wildchilde 09/13/90 S#: 470761
"It appears that we may be the course to meeting this Zombie Master! I suggest that we investigate this further, as this Evil could be a threat to the crown and should be eliminated."
Arathnasis will spend a little time in the Tavern trying to find out anything more about the Zombie Master and then will retire memorizing Detect Magic for the morrow.
SUBJ: Perrel... FROM: GM Kill 09/14/90 S#: 788973
"Well, look at this place. Sort of run down, but workable. Hmmm....I wonder what sort of amusements the tavern holds."
"Supplies? Well, I don't need anything outside of the normal stuff."
"Wait, actually I do need a hand crossbow, but it's a rather expensive item, that I'm certain can wait until we have more money."
"In fact while I'm here, I think I may start up a collection for a hand crossbow. I'm certain many people would be willing to donate to it." I say with a sly smile.
During the days, I'll practice my Tumbling, and workout with my Rapier. But, at night, I can be found in the tavern soliciting donations in the form of a friendly card game.
Never taking more than half of what a pigeon brings into the game though. If during our stay, I see a ripe, plump purse for the taking, I will give my Pick Pockets skill a little exercise.
When not doing any of the above, I can probably be found with some of the other party members, discussing life and luck. :)
SUBJ: Tristan (R) FROM: FrankP25 09/14/90 S#: 807018
I suggest that we get a little more info on this Zombie Character. If we are able to take him then let's destroy him. But, if he seems too powerful maybe we should wait.
I will rest and buy the needed items, arrows etc. if needed. Also I will pray and relax. If any of the party needs healing I will attend to it.
FrankP25
SUBJ: tralgo.... FROM: Knightwind 09/14/90 S#: 432752
The Hobgob fight was more action than Tralgo saw in a whole year of duty in his village Militia. Such hard work makes a warrior thirsty...for ale...and lots of it!
---------------------------------------
Sorry for missing the last few posts folks. Some important mundane matters had my attention.
Tralgo is in the market for arrowheads. We used up some arrows in that battle. After future battles, Tralgo will make a habit of searching for spent and broken arrows to use as repair and construction material for more arrows. It may take a week for a bow, but it only takes a day to produce 1d6 arrows got to practice those skills ;)
SUBJ: Balamar FROM: Deslock 09/15/90 S#: 846512
"I don't like the sound of this 'Zombie Master' person. It is true that we have already accepted an obligation, but I think we should at least seek to discover more about this danger while on our trip north, and if the opportunity presents itself, we should attempt to destroy him."
While in the fort, I'll avail myself of the opportunity to clean up, drink some ail, and rest up for the journey ahead.
SUBJ: Arathnasis FROM: Wildchilde 09/15/90 S#: 421920
just a thought but for the rogues in the party I wouldn't advise using the tricks of your trade while here, we are on a mission for the Crown and should act as such! (just an elven thought)"
SUBJ: drakkor FROM: Troll 3a 09/16/90 S#: 404387
Hello ye great band of adventurers! I hast saw your mighty force come onto town and thought it wise to join you on this quest so hello all!!
SUBJ: Omni Tuens FROM: Omni Tuens 09/16/90 S#: 455101
Omni turns to Drakkor and the other new arrivals and speaks:
"Welcome newcomers to the Company of the Sword! We are pleased to have you among us. As soon as we are able to find out for sure how many of our members have chosen to leave us, and how many of you pick to join us, we'll do what we can about adding you to one of our subgroups."
After this speech he turns to the entire Company as a whole, and with a quick smile, speaks again.
"Well, it seems that most of us are in favor of going after this Zombie Master. I, for one, agree. Seeing as I know little or nothing of undead, I suggest the first use of our funds go towards the buying of any equipment our clerics, Perrel, Tristan, and Eric(?), think would help us against them. We should also get any provisions Jonathon might need, as well as having him tell us what he knows of the Zombie Master. If you don't mind, of course."
This last is added with a nod and smile in Jonathon's direction.
Finally, he talks to Montagne:
"We should probably see about getting mounts for our newcomers. I don't think the horses we have currently are strong enough for doubling up, and I doubt anyone wants to take turns running alongside the rest of the company. I'll leave it to your better judgment where the newcomers go, but my group is a tad short if Eric leaves as he is considering doing."
After this Omni chats with the other members of the group about what may lie ahead of them with the Zombie Master, or anything else they desire to talk about.
SUBJ: Argent
Argent is extremely pleased to have reached civilization once more. The sight of the fort causes her to have a sinking feeling.
'Talk about the middle of nowhere! I hope those beds don't have any critters in them!'
While in town, Argent will pretty much keep to herself, apart from sharing a drink with Montie and trying to learn Color Spray from Jonathon.
Spectrum's Comments: Moan, moan, moan... Yes, she likes to complain!
SUBJ: Schar
After good sir Omni finishes speaking, a most attractive young woman approaches him.
'Pardon me, good sir. Did I hear you speak of the Zombie Master? If so, then I would be most interested in joining your fine band in pursuit of the destruction of this vile person. I am known as Schar.'
The woman has long, lustrous blonde hair, partly held back by a silver headband. Her eyes are blue and her complexion is pure. She is simply dressed in black boots, brown riding pants and a silky white blouse. Surrounding body is a flowing blue robe. Dangling from a silver chain around her neck is a silver infinity symbol, the holy symbol of Azrella, Goddess of Life. A clean mace hangs at her side.
'I assure you, good sir, that I can most helpful in your quest. My patron is most hateful to those dedicated to unlife. My powers are great against them. In fact, my temple is offering a reward of much gold for the removal of this blemish against all who live. My I join you in this quest?'
Schar stands back on one heel, awaiting a reply. If accepted, she will retrieve her mount and supplies.
'I am ready to depart this outpost at anytime.'
Next morn, I'll pray to the glory of Azrella for the following magicks:
CLW*2 and Invisibility to Undead.
Spectrum's Comments: This is Schar, my proto-typical priestess and the very first Priestess of Azrella. Azrella was the patron of life, fertility, childbirth, & healing. Undead were her greatest foe and her priestess have extra powers against undead. I used the same patron for the Terra Novan version of Nightingale, although they don't have to shave their heads bald on this world.
Schar was another character who would be around all the way until the end of the game. Check out her relationship with Perrel.
GM Notes:
Arrowheads can be found rather cheaply at the fort. Costing only 2 cp per arrowhead.
The fort is not as well supplied as Gateway is. Only equipment costing under 50 gp can be located.
Not wanting to continue with the Company, Cattella, Eric, Carpathia and Kein strike out on their own.
Spectrum's Comments: And thus the roster was whittled down by four.
SUBJ: Johnathan FROM: Stretch611 09/16/90 S#: 400334
Every night that we are in the town, I will be the first to the bar or common room that serves drinks. I will find the corner the farthest from the light source place a chair in the shadows and order a pitcher of wine. The entire evening I will slowly drink the wine and watch everyone.
Since the group seems interested in visiting the Zombie Master I will share what I know
Many years ago my village was peaceful and full of life. We bothered no one so no one would bother us, how foolish. One day just after dark an army of undead come from nowhere lead by a man of great evil. My village was destroyed, most of us were killed, and through the night the undead carted bodies off. Any found still alive were killed. How they missed my I do not know. But I escaped and now I will destroy him. I have taken the name necromancer to learn all I can about his way of life. Learn all you can about you enemy so that you may destroy him.
All I now about him that has not already been said, he is very paranoid and he seem to be more than a necromancer he seems to be connected to Nerull :: whispered with much dread :: how I do not know, all else I have heard is but rumor.
It pleases me that we will meet him together; otherwise I would go alone to destroy him.
Spectrum's Comments: That was the Zombie Master's past history with Johnathan.
SUBJ: Arathnasis FROM: Wildchilde 09/16/90 S#: 421070
"It appears we have decided to undertake this mission, I for one agree. I think we should prepare and depart. We should gather some Holy Water together and you Clerical types should be ready for some tough work ahead!"
SUBJ: Montagne.... FROM: Kazroth 09/18/90 S#: 77316
listens carefully to everyone's apparently positive reaction towards taking on the 'Zombie Master'. He then takes a step forward and addresses them all.
"Since the lair of this fiendish person is on the way to our appointed destination I see no reason why we shouldn't rid the lands and the Crown of this most loathsome menace!"
Montagne is seen to shudder ever so slightly at the mention of 'Nerull' but then continues....
"My friends, though the time has been short I have thoroughly enjoyed seeking out adventure with you. However, it has come to pass that certain personal obligations prohibit my continued role as party leader and, in fact, I must forfeit ALL adventuring for the time being. My last act as PL is to suggest.... VERY strongly... Omni Tuens as my successor. I look forward to the day that I might rejoin the fabled ranks of the Company of the Sword. Good bye my friends and Good luck!!"
With a grandiose bow Montagne alights his mount and rides off......
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Sorry 'bout this folks but *I'm* GONE from Q for at least two months barring some major change of circumstances *sigh* Good luck and I hope to return again some day....
@Kaz@
Spectrum's Comments: Now that came totally out of left field! This particular player also was Dar Thaltus in the Frontier, so I lost 2 PC's in one fell swoop. Naturally, Argent wasn't too happy about this!
SUBJ: Argent
'Take care, Mon....'
'Omni seems like the logical choice for our new leader. I concur with Mon's wisdom.'
Spectrum's Comments: But she took it surprisingly well.
SUBJ: Eliza (R) FROM: Zynara 09/18/90 S#: 838194
A very young, well-endowed lady approaches your group the night your group reaches the fort.
"Greetings. I hear you are a band of adventurers travelling here abouts. My father and mother just recently passed away and I have decided to follow my father's trade, that of a warrior. I would be greatly honored if you would let me join your group. I can supply my own weapons and armor. I even have a small amount of equipment that will satisfy my needs for the time being. The only things I don't have is food for a long trek or a mount. I would be willing to pay back any who would be so kind as to supply those items for me if you let me join your adventurous group."
With that I await a response. If accepted, I will excuse myself. "I must finish a few things before I can leave this fort. I will return in the morning with all my equipment." With that I leave.
**************************************
The next morning, I return wearing chain mail and my long blond hair is underneath a well-polished basinet helm. Strapped to my side is a very large slightly curved sword and what appears to be a set of grain thrashers. The backpack on my back is packed and all set. By first appearances, you wouldn't have thought it possible for a girl of my size to carry all this equipment but not only am I carrying it, I don't even appear to be under any strain.
Spectrum's Comments: Meet Eliza. She was an Oriental Adventures type character very far from home. This particular player was also one of the other GM's, although I don't really recall which on. GM Gnome maybe. Basically, he liked to keep his GM hat separate from the characters he played. He also portrayed Zynara in the Frontier.
SUBJ: Omni Tuens FROM: Omni Tuens 09/18/90 S#: 512242
"We're all sad to see you depart Montagne, and we'll eagerly await the day you may rejoin us. Your praise honors me- its kind of you to suggest me. However, we should all vote for your successor. I'd like to welcome the newcomers once more, and suggest we all prepare to depart."
SUBJ: Arathnasis FROM: Wildchilde 09/18/90 S#: 421395
::Bowing low to Montagne::
"Tis sad to see you go, May you have Godspeed in returning to us. In the short time you led you did an excellent job."
"Eliza you are more then welcome to join the Company of the Sword as our numbers are dwindling slightly since we embarked. If there are no available mounts we will use the party funds to purchase you one."
"As for a vote on a leader, remember the problems of last time :) I suggest that Omni, you either accept or decline the position so we can get on with our adventure, better yet, If the group is willing you and I could be Co-leaders as the size is such that 2 leaders would be beneficial. That is if the group deems this to be the best course of action, Group??"
SUBJ: Drakkor FROM: Troll 3a 09/18/90 S#: 441802
I know i am new 2 the group but, I think 1 leader and a few (1-3)sub-leaders would be better that way we would have a defined leader!

About SOD, when my character hugs Montagne farewell, I'll try using my Pick Pockets to lift his purse. I know, lowdown of me, but hey, I gotta get a hand crossbow some way. ;D
Spectrum's Comments: Nice guy!
SUBJ: Ronin Dalamaran (R) FROM: Silent 09/19/90 S#: 393594
A dark haired half-elf walk up to the group. "hello, My name is Ronin, and I would like to join your group. If asked why, "evil has grown to strong of late and the balance must be preserved." If accepted the only equipment I do not have is a horse. I will pay back what I owe for the horse.
***************************************
Ronin is a good-looking medium tall half-elf, with long black and brown eyes. All the equipment he carries is as black as his hair. At his side he carries a black pummeled curved blade. He would look evil if not for the light in his brown eyes.
SUBJ: Tralgo... (R) FROM: Knightwind 09/19/90 S#: 397090
After Montagne's speech, Tralgo sits down his ale, strides forth and states in a loud and thunderous voice
"All HAIL Lord Montagne. Know ye Sir, that should you ever have need of another strong arm in you quest to battle evil, that I, Tralgo. Will come to your aid and I will follow your lead even unto the gates of hell."
"May the gods smile on you, and may you always be victorious."
With that said, Tralgo accepts Omni as new PL, and then says howdy to all the newcomers.
***************************************
At his next sober opportunity, Tralgo will purchase 2 dozen arrowheads.
SUBJ: Merri (R) FROM: Merri2 09/19/90 S#: 819799
Merri bids a fond farewell to Montagne, "In our short time together so far, your leadership was excellent. The Company will miss you. I hope your path and mine cross again." Merri agrees to Omni as the new party leader, and hopes the debate over this is short.
In town, Merri will restock her arrow supply. She'll spend most of her time at the inn with others in the Company. She's feeling more and more comfortable with Belrek, and asks him about his home and how he started adventuring.
Merri smiles warmly at the newcomers. It's funny to her that they should be asking to join a group as inexperienced as we are. She'll speak to Eliza after all the introductions. 'Argent and I are a little outnumbered here; it's good to have you. I haven't seen many swords like yours around. What's that called?'
SUBJ: "Farewell Montagne." FROM: GM Kill 09/19/90 S#: 101613
"Good luck to you, now and every day." I say. "I did not know you that long, but I liked what I knew."
I give him a big hug, and a pat on the back.
"Few have earned my respect, as you have. May luck shine on you."

Belrek also ran off with the others at the last moment.
The membership of the Company has changed dramatically since their arrival at Gerald's Fort.
With the departure of Montagne, he suggested that Omni replace him. So far, most of the Company has agreed.
While the membership is being worked out, a few supplies are purchased.
Upon learning of your quest to seek out the Zombie Master, the priestess of a small temple dedicated to Ehlonna donate 4 vials of Holy Water to the Company.
GM Notes:
Hopefully, the roster is now set. Use this post to get more familiar with each other and work out you sub-groups.
Depending on how quickly this is resolved, there may be a update this weekend.
All yours!

Hello fellow adventurers!! I am glad to hear about omni!! Good luck sir omni!
SUBJ: Arathnasis (R) FROM: Wildchilde 09/21/90 S#: 123855
"Tis pretty much decided then, Omni shall be considered our new leader"
With that I will go and shake his hand and wish him Gods luck!
Now more to business. I will prepare for the adventure to come sharpening my blades and polishing my chain mail.
For the day I will memorize Magic Missile.
SUBJ: Eliza FROM: Zynara 09/21/90 S#: 414647
To Merri, "I am honored that you have noticed my sword. My Father called it a katana. He was a true master at it and I learned a lot from him. He was into the honor of the sword. I hope to continue his honor with this fine group of yours. Could you tell me about yourself and the others that are with the group? I would like to know a little about those that I would be fighting along side."
SUBJ: Omni Tuens FROM: Omni Tuens 09/22/90 S#: 498917
Omni smiles as the others give him their vote of confidence, and waits until he has majority approval before speaking:
"I thank you all for your faith in my skills. If you ever have doubts in my decisions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to voice them. Now, does anyone else need to get any equipment before we leave?" Omni waits for the answer then continues, "By the way, here is what I propose for the new subgroups. If you have any objections or just want to be somewhere else, say so." With this said he lists off the following divisions.
Group A Group B Group C Group D
Balamar Omni Tralgo Arathnasis
Perrel Jonathon Argent Berek
Ronin Merri Ever Tristan
Eliza Schar Drakkor Selarin
"The first person listed in each group is the subgroup leader. Unfortunately, we don't have enough members in the company currently for me to lead as Montagne did- unattached to the groups. Hopefully this will change soon. As you can see, 'older' party members stayed with their previous leaders, and the subgroup leaders are unchanged. As I said, just ask if you have any problems with this set up."
With this Omni takes a much needed breath, and then puts in a final note:
"And if there's nothing else, I suggest we get underway."
OOC: Thanks folks....I'll do my best to pick up smoothly where Montagne left off.
SUBJ: Argent
'So true, Merri, so true. We girls do need to stick together. At least there are five of us. I have not seen many other women in other groups. This is not to say that I don't like having a lot of men around too!' ;)
'That is an odd weapon you have, Eliza. It is from the Far East I believe. There's not really much for me to tell. I've spent most of my life honing my art; the casting of invocation magic.'
Argent listens as Omni reassigns the groups. While the rest of the group mingles, she scrutinizes the men, wondering who is the most charming of the batch.
Spectrum's Comments: Surprisingly, it took quite a while for Argent to land a new male friend. In fact, that person isn't even in the game yet!
SUBJ: Tristan FROM: FrankP25 09/22/90 S#: 417599
Tristan waits patiently listening to the party Leader, Omni.
"I would like to say that I think Omni will be a competent leader. Good Luck to all of us, we could always use some."
Tristan then retreats to pray to his Goddess, Ehlonna. If anybody has any questions they will be answered ASAP.
SUBJ: Honors FROM: Zynara 09/23/90 S#: 809623
To Argent, "I do not know where the sword comes from. My Father never did tell me. I have noticed that no one else in this area has a sword like it though. I have also noticed that no one in the area looked like my Father also. The corners of his eyes were slightly upturned like he was smiling with his eyes. My eyes follow my Mother's so I don't have his happy eyes. Maybe one day, I will have a chance to see his people."
To Omni, "From what I understand by listening to the others, you are now the leader of this band of adventurers." Drawing sword and laying across the backs of my hands then kneeling, "I here by pledge my sword to you along with my life." I await his response.
SUBJ: Schar
Upon learning of her group assignment, the gentle healer meets her teammates.
"I fear that my combat skills are limited. My patron is devoted to the saving of lives, not to killing. However, when deal with those who cheat life and become undead, I show no mercy. This foul abominations should be, nay must be destroyed."
Once we are ready to depart, Schar mounts her riding horse and takes her position in the band.
GM Notes:
Upon completing their business at Gerald's Fort, the Company moves on. (Any last minute business can be referred back to until this post closes.)
After a day and a half of riding, the Company comes to a fork in the road. The better track, the right hand fork continues of to the northwest. Presumably towards Waypoint, the second village en route to Kairn's Fortress.
The left hand fork is much more dismal. While showing signs of use, the dirt track is in poor shape. More ominously, even the trees themselves look abnormal. Strangely twisted somehow...
Now what?
SUBJ: Johnathan FROM: Stretch611 09/23/90 S#: 488776
Before leaving Johnathan introduces him self.
I am Johnathan, I care not who leads the group as I am here to defeat evil in all it's guises. For those who are new to the group I openly and without regret claim to be a necromancer. I dabble in the arts of the dead. My reasons are my own, only know this, I hate the Zombie Master. I hate all evil. My life means nothing as long as evil exists. I apologize for none of this. And to you healer, make not quick judgment on those who cheat death. Not all have a choice, and those that no are not always evil.
SUBJ: Ronin FROM: Silent 09/23/90 S#: 424420
Ronin will introduce himself to his group. He will talk with them to make himself comfortable with them, for all of their lives depend on one another. Hearing what Johnathan has to say, I respond "I believe in what you say for your being what you are creates a balance between what we fight".

"Omni? As Leader?"
"Are we sure we don't want to leave it to fate?"
"No? Oh well, good luck Omni, you'll need it."
I give him a smack on the back, and then wander over to join the company of the two females conversing.
"Merri, Eliza! Allow me to buy you two ladies a drink. And then we can sit and get to know one another better." I say with a warm smile, and a sweeping gesture towards the tavern.
If they agree, I wander off with them to the tavern, and drink and talk with them.
If they refuse, I say "Mayhaps another time then." Giving them a courteous bow as I do so.
Once on the road, and when we get to the split, I flip a coin, and if it lands heads I say we should take the normal road, if it's tails I say we should take the deformed one.
"Leave it to luck, leave it to fate. Can't blame anyone for the wrong decision then."
SUBJ: dark path FROM: GrooToo 09/24/90 S#: 433482

'Seems pretty obvious to me. The road to the left looks like something that would lead to a Zombie Master. We should go that way.'
SUBJ: Schar
As we travel on, I ride next to Jonathon discussing our particular ideals.
"Perhaps you misunderstood me. I spoke nothing of those who deal in Necromantic magic. I myself use Necromantic magic in pursuit of the greater glory of Azrella and to aid those who live. It is those creatures that are undead that I speak of. Skeletons, Zombies, Ghosts and even worse menaces are those I speak of. Surely, no sane being would willing submit to be joining the legions of the dead? You are deeply troubled over this Zombie Master, Jonathon. Let me help you through this. I am willing to listen."
As we approach our choice on the road, the hairs on the back of my neck rise.
"Aye, good sir Omni, that does indeed seem to be the correct path. Every fiber of my being cries out at the acts of wanton evil carried out down that road. Beware."

Merri tells her simple story about her life on a small farm, and running away from a life of drudgery. "The Company of the Sword is a pretty big group. You'll find about every kind of adventurer and everyone has a different reason why they're here now. You know we just finished caravan duty now. Have you heard of our quest for the Sword of Doom?"
Merri is a human fighter, with a long sword on her belt, and a brand-new looking long bow strapped on her back. She's incredibly pretty and normally wears a cloak over her chainmail.
She'll point out Berek to Eliza. "Don't you think he's kind of handsome? If either of us could ever TALK to each other..." Her voice trails off and she looks at him wistfully.
Spectrum's Comments: Apparently Berek is completely unaware of Merri's interest. Nothing ever did happen between these two.
SUBJ: Merri, again. (R) FROM: Merri2 09/25/90 S#: 71788
Merri goes along with Perell to the tavern if Eliza goes too. She will sip at her drink and is friendly, but her relative innocence is plain to him. If Berek is in the tavern her eyes frequently wander his way, but she glances away if he looks at her.
Slightly distracted,
Merri

"Personally, I feel we should take the darker route, for that is surely where the Zombie Master lies. Jonathon, do you know of any information to the contrary? You know his history and arts much better than the rest of us do. Does anyone else have any comments or suggestions on the route we take?"
Omni will stay near the front when taking the path to the Zombie Master, assuming that if they've picked the wrong path, he gets to absorb the main part of the assault. He'll make sure his sword is at the ready when taking the suspicious path, and make sure everyone is prepared for the unexpected.
Balamar's no longer with us...unofficially. Therefore, when this DOES become official, I suggest we switch over to this set up:
Group A Group B Group C
------- ------- -------
Perrel Tralgo Arathnasis
Ronin Argent Berek
Eliza Ever Tristan
Schar Drakkor Selarin
Jonathon Merri
I'll remain separate, and if this doesn't happen, then forget I said it.
Cut back to earlier:
When Eliza offers her sword to him, Omni responds:
"I'm touched by your gesture, Eliza. However, pledge not your life to me, but to this Company, and to the achieving of its objectives."
He then smiles and hands her sword to her hilt first.
Spectrum's Comments: And another player is gone. They are dropping like flies and I didn't kill any of them!
SUBJ: Arathnasis (R) FROM: Wildchilde 09/25/90 S#: 440909
When we reach the fork in the road a scowl comes across Arathnasis' face, "This must be the way, whom else could cause such an abomination to the very mother earth herself?" "I say we chose this path and destroy this evil as quickly as possible!"

When receiving my sword back from Omni, "You honor me with your words. As for pledging myself to the group, I do. As for not pledging my life to the leader of this group, my Father always told me, 'The leader of a group no matter how big is the heart of the group. With out the heart, the group will die. Sometimes a new leader may come forward but the group is dead and reborn with the new leader as the new heart. Thus there is a new group. Protect the heart and keep the group alive.'"
To Merri while we are still talking to ourselves, "Yes he is a handsome man on the outside. Always get to know the man on the inside before you commit to anything though."
When Perell offers Merri and I a drink at the tavern, "I would be honored to drink with you." I will then go with Merri and him to the tavern. Not noticing how edgy Merri is, I let Perell order for me. I will be at the ready though. Any passes more brave than they should be, may be dealt with a little on the rough side.
***************************************
At the intersection, I keep an eye open for any signs of trouble. If I have a horse, I will have my nunchaku in hand. If I am on foot I will have my katana out and ready. (I believe they said they would get me a horse but I seem to have missed having it confirmed.)
If asked which path we should take, "I am following the lead of Omni. If he feels the shadowy path is his path, it is my path also. If he chooses the other, then that is the path I will take."
SUBJ: Omni Tuens FROM: Omni Tuens 09/27/90 S#: 449746
Omni fingers the elaborate ring on his finger as he muses the words of the others. He nods his head as the others speak.
"Very well, my friends. We take the darker path. May we bring light to the end of this trail. Everyone do your best to maintain control of your horses; this doesn't appear to be friendly territory, and these beasts aren't trained for battle. They may bolt easily."
With this, he urges his horse forward towards the indicated trail, making sure he can easily reach the huge two-handed sword worn at his belt.
Yes, we'll assume that anyone in the party who didn't already have a mount was purchased one.
Spectrum's Comments: Does the dark path lead to the Zombie Master? Stay tuned!
