December 29th, 2001 -

Happy New Year!

It's the end of the year and we've got a whole hodge-podge of stuff for your reading and viewing pleasure!

Starting over in the Avengers Handbook, we have updated the Huntress Biography, Character Sheet, and Gallery! A great deal has been added to the BIO springing from the events of the latest Huntress arc, plus you can check out the new costume! On the Character Sheet, not only do we have the write up for the new version of the Huntress, but for the Were-Huntress as well! And in the gallery we have all the old costume pictures, but a brand new one featuring Helena in full furry mode!

There's also a bit of a story behind the new Huntress costume pic. About a year ago Muskateer was thinking about what the Huntress new costume was going to look like. In fact, I think he mentioned it in the 2000 End of Year Awards winners file. Obviously, it was on his mind so I encouraged him to draw it back in January of 2001. He was quite pleased with the results, so was I for that matter. His next question was "So, when does it go up?". My answer at that time was "Next Year", meaning 2002. "You mean, you had me draw something that's not even going to go up until next year?!". "Hey, I got it out of your system," I responded. "Now you can work on other things."

Turns out that we managed to get it posted in 2001 after all. Just barely. :D

Also new and updated in the Avengers Handbook is the Avengers Biography. There are upgraded pics in Firestar Gallery and the Enchantress Gallery. Lastly, there were appearance updates for the Biographies of Black Diamond, Firestar, Nightingale, Supreme, Texas Ranger, and Guardian Angel.

In the Normals and Neutrals Handbook, we've updated the Cat Biography. Shadow Queen's pic has been updated as well.

We're now in the final days of the voting period for the End of Year Awards! Cast your ballots before time runs out! If you can access the ballot page, then you can still vote. I'll be taking it down on January 1st. Once its down, the voting period will be closed. We hope to announce the winners on the first Saturday of January the 5th, but it depends how fast Muskateer can get his portions of the file written. So there is the possibility that it will be delayed. Enjoy all the new things and have a Happy and safe New Year!

December 22nd, 2001 -

Merry Christmas!

Here's wishing everyone a safe and happy holidays! Here's our present to all of you-- the double-sized conclusion to the Were-Huntress storyline! The Avengers are closing in on the transformed Huntress, while others seek a cure for this condition. Can Helena be changed back to normal or is she going to spend the rest of her days as a wild animal? All this and guest stars galore in Huntress #28!

Stop back next weekend to check out the Huntress' new costume! Time is winding down for you to vote for the 2001 Year End Awards. There are still nine days left to vote and most categories are still wide open! Your vote could be the deciding one!

December 15th, 2001 -

The Huntress arc continues as our transformed heroine becomes the hunted! In addition, the reason for this change into the 'Were-Huntress' is revealed and Felina is not happy! All this and more in Huntress #27!

December 8th, 2001 -

This week we present the first new story arc for the 2002 Award Year and its a doozy! When Muskateer and I re-visited our old campaign and created this website there were several stories that each of us wanted another crack at. For me, this particular Huntress arc is one of them. Everything since the first Huntress issue has been leading up to this one storyline. Most of the major questions and mysteries in the series will be answered and revealed in this three issue arc. Okay, enough of the build up. Go check out Huntress #26!

A few Awards Ballots have trickled in during the week. All the races remain close so far. Typically only 1 vote seperates first place from second in most of the races. There is one category with a 2 vote lead and several that are deadlocked in multiple ties. Your votes could be the deciding ones!

December 1st, 2001 -

Another year has passed and it's time for the End of Year Awards! Make your choices for the awards on the Ballot Page. We've streamlined the process a bit this year by using radio buttons where possible. For most of the ballot all you have to do is point and click to make your choice! As always comments are optional, but very appreciated.

Along with the Awards Ballot comes the 2001 Year in Review file! This file is an indispensable reference guide for placing your votes. It covers all the files from the awards period completely with plot synopsis, list of guest stars, villains, and insider comments and notes.

So cast your votes for the awards and then stop by next week as we kick off a 3 issue Huntress arc that will knock your socks off! 'Nuff Said!

November 24th, 2001 -

November 3rd, 2001 -

Hi gang, we're back! Our apologies for the lack of new material, but there should be something each update as we get ready for the Year End Awards! Ballots go up 4 weeks from today!

This week we finally get back to our Scarlet Sabre arc with Scarlet Sabre #9. Enjoy!

October 13th, 2001 -

This week we complete the change over to the new site as the Avengers make the move! With Avengers #32, all Avengers files have been changed over and edited. This should eliminate any bad links on the site. If you find one, please let us know and include what page you found it on. Avengers #32 picks up from last week's file as the hunt for the Enchantress continues!

You'll also note that the issue roll call now includes guest stars and that the team group shots have been modifed to accomodate Black Diamond's costume change as well! We've upgraded the old Nightingale standing pose and it has replaced the pic on her Biography page. The action pic has been moved to the Nightingale Gallery. Enjoy!

October 6th, 2001 -

We interupt our Scarlet Sabre arc for this special event! It's Muskateer's birthday and as per tradition we present a brand new issue of Muskateer! This file was literally finished up minutes before it was uploaded and was written just in the last few weeks. This is a very personal file as we look in on the relationship between Muskateer and the Enchantress. Plus we get to see Musky's take on the pool party! All this can be found in Muskateer #22!

In addition, all issues of Muskateer are now on the new site! They've been edited and the necessary character changes made. No more problems with bad links to Musky files! So wish Muskateer a Happy Birthday and enjoy the new file!

September 29th, 2001 -

This week we present a new file-- Scarlet Sabre #8! Jessica has her first day on the job and attends the Huntress' pool party. Stop back next week for a special surprise! No hints!

September 22nd, 2001 -

In the aftermath of the recent Young Champions arc, we have a series of updates over in the Handbook section!

We have two new Biographies over in the Most Wanted Handbook featuring Panda and Raccon!

In the Young Champions Handbook there are updates for Tempest, Tigress, and Terra Fire. Lastly, Howler has been updated in the Normals and Neutrals Handbook.

We also have a surprise this week! We have the updated version of Black Diamond's costume! Check it out in the Black Diamond Biography & Gallery. Muskateer is really curious what you guys think of this new version.

Once more Muskateer & my lives are getting more complicated, as if that was possible. We'll try to have something new every week, but no promises. So, don't be suprised if there are no updates some weeks. New updates are posted on Saturday, so if there's nothing by Saturday night, most likely there will be no update that week. Next up on deck is a three issue arc featuring the Scarlet Sabre. Stay tuned!

September 8th, 2001 -

This week we wrap up our current story arc with Young Champions #21. The Tigress is finally back with her teammates and Howler attempts to find the way to the lost realm!

September 1st, 2001 -

This is the one you've been waiting for! At last, the Tigress cuts loose and woe be to any who get in her way! Check out Young Champions #20!

August 26th, 2001 -

It's been a long time coming, but now we proudly present the first of three new issues of Young Champions! Young Champions #19 kicks it all off as the Jade Princess continues on its way towards the lost realm of Azkan with a fiesty Tigress on board!

August 19th, 2001 -

With the completion of our Wild Cards mini-series, we now present the Wild Cards Handbook! The handbook features several new Biography and Character Sheet combinations. The eighth Wild Card, Night Owl, has been moved from the Heroes Handbook into the Wild Cards Handbook. There's even a Team Biography for the Wild Cards!

In addition, the Ghost Fire Biography has been updated, as well as the Rosters page.

Enjoy all the new pages to look at and stop back next week as we kick off a three issue Young Champions arc!

August 12th, 2001 -

Its the conclusion of the Wild Cards mini-series in Troubleshooters #21! You'll get to meet the newest members of the Wild Cards and uncover the secret of Psi-Queen!

August 5th, 2001 -

This week we get down and dirty with the Silver Spectre in Troubleshooters #20! Many questions about this mystery woman are answered and there should be a few surprises along the way! Look for a guest appearance by Muskateer!

July 29th, 2001 -

Troubleshooters #19 kicks off the first of three Wild Cards tales. Each issue is mostly a self-contained story, but there are plot threads running through all three issues. By the time we're done, many questions about this organization will be answered. Naturally, quite a few new questions will be asked as well!

Much of the material covered in this series was originally scheduled to turn up in the Avengers and our other East Coast titles. Given just how much stuff is going on in the Avengers, I thought it simply better to give the Wild Cards their own mini-series. While many of the events in this mini-series pick up on things mentioned in the Avengers, they don't really impact on what's currently going on. So after some additions and minor tweaking, we have the Wild Cards mini-series!

With this week's file we're opening up a second issue index for Troubleshooters, much like we have done in the past for the Avengers and Muskateer. The two indexes are listed separately on the Titles Page.

July 22nd, 2001 -

This week we complete the Handbook section with the additions of the X-Factor Handbook and Young Champions Handbook. Both of these sections are complete.

In the X-Factor Handbook you'll find several characters with galleries. Each bio has been updated for the latest happenings. I added the Young Champions Handbook as they are not going to be in the next series of files and didn't see any point in holding them back any longer.

With the addition of these two Handbooks, ALL Bios and Character Sheets have now been moved from the old site. If you linked with any of those old pages, you'll find that they are no longer there. All that remains on the old site are the issues of Muskateer & the Avengers. I've just recently completed re-reading and editing these files. They'll now go out to Muskateer for a final edit and read through. Given the sheer amount of name changes and costume alterations in these files, we felt it better for both of us to go through these files to catch all the necessary changes. Issue links between Avengers and Muskateer will work fine, but those links going to the other series will not. Likewise, the links in the other series going to Muskateer or Avengers will not work as well. It seemed silly to go through and change all those links and then have to go back later and change them again. You'll just have to bear with us while these last bit of changes are made.

That's it for this week. Stop back next week as we kick off a three issue Wild Cards mini-series!

July 15th, 2001 -

This week we wrap up our X-Factor/Spectrum Arc with Spectrum #30. Spec clashes with Titania and Chaos of the Thugmaster's Elite and the unveiling of the Empress' new costume!!

Stop back next week as we'll complete the Handbook section with X-Factor & Young Champions! Plus you'll get to actually see the Empress' new clothes!

July 8th, 2001 -

This week we premiere X-Factor #17! Mockingbird flies solo and there is a roster change!

If you've been following the conversation on the Letter's Page, then you've read about us accepting material for the site. We've put up a Guidelines Page to set the ground rules.

June 24th, 2001 -

Once more we interrupt our X-Factor/Spectrum arc, but I trust no one will mind. This week we premiere Lost Heroes #5! In addition, all issues of Lost Heroes have been relocated to the new site.

June 17th, 2001 -

Major site update this week as lots of stuff is transferred and upgraded to the new site! First off we have opened up four new areas in the Handbook section. Here's the run down:

In addition to this, the entire runs of the Huntress, Scarlet Sabre, and Young Champions have been relocated to the new site! Each issue has been re-read, edited, and slightly modified to take our changes into account.

Speaking of the changes, here they are. Night Girl has been renamed Night Owl and there was some minor modifications to her costume. Titania is the new name for the original Black Diamond, the criminal one from the Thugmaster's Elite.

The next change is actually going to take a bit of explaining. We've gone back to calling the Scarlet Sorceress just the Sorceress. That's right, we're actually undoing a change that had been made from the old stuff to the new! Tanya was originally called the Sorceress and her costume was something like the early Enchantress costume. (The blue one). Back when I was putting things together, I came up with the notion of zipping her name a up bit to become the Scarlet Sorceress.

Then we have the Scarlet Sabre who I had put into the Freedom League. At that time I had no idea that the Scarlet Sabre would have appeared so much or would even have her own series! That was not part of the plan! So basically, we're going back to the Sorceress to avoid confusion with the Scarlet Sabre. Besides, why in the world would a Shadow Cloak be red?

With this update we're well over the halfway mark in transferring stuff over to the new site! The X-Factor Handbook will go up the week after Spectrum #30, the concluding issue of their arc. This handbook will be complete. The reason the Avengers Handbook was done piecemeal was so that I could show it to Muskateer for his opinions on it. Since I had it up, I opened it up for the public to check out as well.

The last Handbook section to go up will be for the Young Champions. That one will go up after a YC arc which will begin after the X-Factor/Spectrum arc. Again, it will be complete.

The only series left to bring over is the Avengers, Muskateer, and Lost Heroes. LH will come over when LH #5 goes up. Yep-- it's done! Muskateer just has to do some minor editing on the first four issues before we can put them up.

That should give everyone plenty to look at for this week! The next update will be a new file. Either Lost Heroes #5 or X-Factor #17. Not sure which one just yet. Enjoy!

June 10th, 2001 -

It's been a long time coming, but we finally have a new issue of Spectrum! Spectrum #29 is a part of the "Up Close and Personal" Arc going on in current issues of X-Factor. In addition, ALL issues of Spectrum have been transferred to the new site! Each issue has been re-read and edited to bring them up to speed. Primarily, just a few name changes and the like. Enjoy!

Stop back next week for a major update in the Handbook as several new sections are opened up!

June 3rd, 2001 -

And now back into our X-Factor/Spectrum arc! Over the next few weeks you'll be seeing two new issues of each series. We start things off with X-Factor #16 as Sabre takes on Puslar!

May 27th, 2001 -

This week we complete the Avengers Handbook ! Look for updated Biographies and Character sheets for Captain Valor, Nightingale, Supreme, Texas Ranger, Lightburst, and the Thing. Several characters have galleries as well.

The Awards Pages are now on the new site.

Let us know what you thought about our Captain Valor tale! Want to see more of him on Terra Nova? Stop back next week as we get back into our X-Factor/Spectrum arc!

May 20th, 2001 -

Its the conclusion to our Captain Valor mini-series! Check out Troubleshooters#18!

May 13th, 2001 -

Our Captain Valor on Terra Nova mini-series continues with Troubleshooters#17!

More things continue to get added to the new site! Here's a brief rundown:

All issues of X-Factor have been edited and transferred.

Areas for Black Diamond (Ms. Marvel), Firestar, Muskateer, Enchantress, Guardian Angel (Lady Diamond), and the Huntress have been added to the Avengers Handbook . Several characters have active galleries as well. Check out the new pic for Guardian Angel on her bio!

May 6th, 2001 -

You asked for it and now you've got it! This week we kick off the first of three consecutive issues starring Captain Valor! Based on the results of our first opinion poll, you wanted to see Captain Valor in our next Troubleshooters mini-series! Your wish has come true! Troubleshooters#16 kicks everything off picking up where we last left the Captain at the end of Avengers #14.

Part of the reason for making who appeared next in Troubleshooters a poll question was that we really didn't know who to do next either. Each of our proposed mini-series-- be it Wildcards, Spinnerette, Tigress, Photon, etc-- has a certain appeal to them. The problem is none of them held any greater appeal than any of the others. So, by seeing what our readers thought helped push us towards who to do next.

The first issue was written back in February when I could see who was going to win the poll. That started me on the process of putting the story together, more than I had at any rate, and I managed to get the first issue written. After that I moved on to the other files. During the downtime while Muskateer was doing his work on Avengers #31, I wrote the X-Factor issue posted in the last update. Then I moved on to the second Cap issue. That one only took a week to write and I had good momentum, so I moved directly into the third issue.

So there you have it! The Captain Valor mini-series that you requested!

Also this issue of Troubleshooters is the first to appear on our new site! That's right, the change over has begun! The link above will take you directly to the new file on the new site. Also, the entire Troubleshooters sections, issues and index, have been relocated to the new site. All of these issues have been re-read and edited. There were two changes made in those files as part of the changes being made as noted in my last update. One of these changes is Ms. Marvel's new heroine name! The other was getting Ankylosaur's colors up to date. Now, that wasn't so bad was it!

I should also warn you that while the links within Troubleshooters will work just fine, links out of the series will not. Likewise, series on the old site will not link properly to those on the new. Links leading directly to the Troubleshooters page-- such as on the Titles Page, Timeline, and Coming Attractions will work just fine. Links between different issues in different series are the ones that are inactive.

There's not a whole lot of other stuff on the new site just as yet. But, you can back out of the Troubleshooters Index and check out some of the basic framework. The Troubleshooters Index will take you to the re-vamped Titles page, which in turn will lead you back to the new Main Page. From the Main Page, check out the Handbook page and the Avengers Handbook. We think this new format is just going to make things SO much easier to navigate around. Also, if you peak at the Avengers Handbook you'll discover yet another new name for a heroine!

There's also a new poll question on the Main Page.
