Crusaders # 43 - 45

"DEMON and the Deep Blue Sea"

Spectrum's Comments: The Crusaders were lured to the Appleton Mall by an assortment of villains. This was all a ruse to kidnap the Sorceress for some nefarious purpose. However, our heroes have learned a clue...

Crusaders - #43 - "DEMON and the Deep Blue Sea: Part One"

After finding a clue to the location of the kidnapped Sorceress, the Crusaders return to their mansion. In addition to the Crusaders Jet, which has pontoons on it, they take with them a submergible jet that Lightwarp was testing.

The information turns out to the true. Seventy miles north of Long Island, a dark spot is noticed. Both of the Crusaders crafts land on the water surface.

Firestar - "Lets do a little scouting before we rush into this. It could be another set up. Ranger, Nightstalker and Dragonman, if you would do the honors? Just look the base over. Try to find ways to get in."

Dragonman shifts to the form of a bronze dragon as he hits the water. Ranger and Nightstalker, but not needing to breath, quickly follows.

Nightengale - "I've tried to mindscan for the Sorceress, but cannot locate her. There is some kind of Psi-shield in place. My powers can't penetrate it."

Down below, the scouts come into sight of the base itself. The base is comprised of metal domes that are connected by metal tubes, which serve as corridors from section to section.

On the north side of the base, a submarine dock is spotted. There are openings for three subs to dock.

On the opposite side of the base, a miniature sub is docked. There is only one docking bay here.

Several emergency hatches are spotted, but they are, presumably, locked from the inside.

Returning the surface, the scouts report their findings.

GM Notes:

Now what? If anyone wishes to use other methods to learn more about the base, include them in your post and I'll get a response up ASAP.

The post marks the first anniversary of the Crusaders game! Approximately one year ago this week, the first Crusaders post went up. I'd like to thank everyone for a most interesting year. Especially those who have been here since the beginning. And a special thanks to Panther 13, founder of this lunacy!

Happy New Year and Happy Anniversary! You ain't seen nothin' yet!

SUBJ: Lord Liberty FROM: REM9 01/01/90 S#: 100541

"Firestar, although my body may not be watertight, perhaps if I could have a look at the base, my sensors might be able to locate the Sorceress inside. This might save us some time."

SUBJ: Firestar

'Okay, here's what I came up with. Opinions and suggestions will be appreciated.'

'More than likely, they are expecting us to come in through the submarine dock. Therefore they should have most of their defense in that part of the base. My plan is to send most of us in that way, on board the sub. On the sub will be Lord Liberty, Strongbow, Tigress, Shadow, T-Storm and myself.'

'Ranger, I'd like you and Nightengale to sneak into the base via one of the escape hatches. Between your talents, I think you should be able to do this. There is scuba gear in the jet for 'Gale to wear.'

'Nightstalker and Dragonman, I'd like you to go in through the back exit, the one with the sub docked to it.'

'While my group is engaging the main defense of the base, the rest of you should be able to get around easier. 'Stalker and DM should head towards the main submarine dock. They should be able to get the drop on any guards along the way.'

'It appears that only Nightengale and the Tigress have a chance to locate the Sorceress quickly. If either one of you locate her, go and rescue her.'

'This is subject to change, depending on what Lord Liberty finds with his scans. Nightengale will relay plan changes as necessary.'

SUBJ: Ranger FROM: Deslock 01/02/90 S#: 115137

"Sounds good to me, Star. As long as we can get close enough to observe the mechanism, we should be able to get it open."

Prior to departure, I'll find a moment to speak privately to Firestar.

"I can sense your uneasiness with the prospect of being under water. As a creature of fire, this is not to be unexpected. Just remember, your friends are with you."

SUBJ: NIGHTSTALKER - Malik FROM: NightStlkr 01/03/90 S#: 414528

"Sounds like a good plan to me, Hot stuff; but then again, what do "I" know?"

"C'mon, Wings...it's time to get this show on the road."

NIGHTSTALKER flies out of the sub with Dragonman and heads for the "back door" of the Demon-Base. Once inside, Malik's clenched fists begin to glow with a brilliant blue radiance as he shifts The Power Primal over to his 'Power Burst', ready for his surprise attack. Since their objective is to assist Firestar's party from the rear, he'll make his way to the proposed battle site.

If we come into any opposition before we get there, Malik will try to handle the situation as quickly as possible. Consider Malik's following options:

1) If Malik and Dragonman are attacked from the front, he'll use his 'Atomic Reconstruction' to make the floor come up around the bad guys and box them in.

2) If attacked from behind, he'll activate his Darkness to give him and Dragonman cover, and then continue onward; leading Dragonman by the arm (That's assuming Dragonman is blinded by the Darkness as well...).

SUBJ: T-Storm (R) FROM: Nain 01/03/90 S#: 459163

SUBJ: Ready to go!! FROM: T1GRESS 01/04/90 S#: 467764

"The plan sounds fine to me, 'Star. I'd like to lead the attack, if you don't mind. This little kitty's just looking for a good tussle."

I will leap through the opening once it is open, assuming that the agents know we're coming and try to get past/over them, drawing their fire. I will dodge on phases which they can fire, and attack in the intermediate phases. Leap about from target to target; maybe a few shots might hit their own guys!! :)

SUBJ: dragon FROM: Wild dan 01/06/90 S#: 463003

SUBJ: STRONGBOW FROM: AREION 01/07/90 S#: 474200

"Firestar...I would like to stand with the feline maiden in the forefront of this conflict. The Sorceress was an apprentice to the man who was my predecessor. Honor demands that her safe return falls squarely on MY shoulders. I know she is a friend to all...do not take me wrong...I know it is hard for the white-man to understand but to my people... life means nothing without honor!"

His peace spoken, the Navaho brave sits as the craft plunges beneath the waves. He gazes out the window with a sort of awe, sharing himself with the marine life swimming elegantly past the Plexiglas shield, allowing himself to experience through their eyes.

"Magnificent, is it not? Nature in its rawest state...untouched by human hands..."

Glancing downward, StrongBow can make out the darkened outline of the DEMON base in the distance, and his mind begins to fill with a cold fury.

"Even here, man must cast his foul hand to corrupt nature's majestic beauty!"

As the craft approaches its destination, STRONGBOW prepares himself. The familiar shape of a Great Black Bear consumes him, and the Gem pulses brightly on his brow. He draws his coup stick and stands at the ready alongside of TIGRESS. When the door opens, he rushes out arms outstretched wide, hoping to topple anyone in his path, Giving The TIGRESS precious seconds to make her leap. STRONGBOW will dodge and counterstrike, as he needs to until he can get his bearing on the situation.

Crusaders - #44 - "DEMON and the Deep Blue Sea: Part Two"

The assault on the DEMON base begins! Firestar guides the submarine into the dock. Once docked, the hatch opens to reveal a empty corridor. At the end of the corridor is an air lock. The air lock opens easily.

Beyond is the intersection area of the sub-marine dock. Three other air locks lead out of this room. With the exception of several scuba suits, the room is basically empty. There is an opening in the far wall.

The Tigress sniffs the air.

Tigress - "Nothing. No trace of the Sorceress in here."

Lord Liberty - "Warning: Unknowns approaching."

Lord Liberty points to the opening in the far wall.

Firestar - "Get ready everyone."

After a moment, three men in armor rush in. They each carry a large rifle and have a soft red glow around them.

The Tigress leaps upon the first man in. A martial kick knocks him to the floor.

T-Storm increases the gravity around the three. They drop to the floor. Strongbow and Shadow come in and finish the job.

With the Demonagents out, the team can spread out and look about. Two of the three hatches lead to the other sub docks. The opening leads into a small room. Apart from a monitor watching the sub dock and an intercom to the rest of the base, little is found here.

The last hatch opens into a long corridor, lighted corridor. Twenty feet away is another hatch.

On the other side of the base, Nightstalker and Dragon Man sneak into the base via the back hatch. A short passageway leads to a hatch. The hatch opens into a large, circular room. The room is dark, but the lighted panels of machines and equipment illuminate the outer edges.

It is light enough for the two to see that there is someone in the middle of the room. Moving closer they can see that it is the Sorceress! She is gagged and tied to a chair. Her head is slumped forward. She doesn't appear to be aware of your presence.

Elsewhere, Ranger and Nightengale finally manage to open one of the other hatches. The hatch opens into a corridor. The left end of the corridor leads into a large shower and washroom area.

Turning the other way, the corridor opens into a room, but a large screen shield blocks direct entrance. You can around either side of the screen to enter the room.

Just as they start to enter the room, the sound of rifle fire makes them jump back. Energy pellets embed into the walls above their heads.

'We know you're in there, heroes! Come out before you get hurt!'

Gm Notes:

Now what? No one has yet to take any damage. Yet.

SUBJ: NIGHTSTALKER - Malik FROM: NightStlkr 01/07/90 S#: 838217

"It looks like we just hit Pay dirt, Dragonman...There's the Sorceress."

Malik rises into the air and flies over to the apparently unconscious form of The Sorceress. His fists begin to glow anew with the same bright blue radiance as before; only this time, the blazing energy forms three claws on each hand protruding from the knuckles. With Energy Claws now activated, NIGHTSTALKER proceeds to slice through the bonds that restrain The Sorceress to the chair. He takes her limp form into his arms and removes the gag.

"Sorceress...can you hear me....Are you alright...Sorceress???..."

Malik looks for some sort of sign; anything that will indicate that she is alright.

"...C'mon...we'd better get you outta' here...This is no place for a nice girl like you...."

NIGHTSTALKER picks up the Sorceress and turns to his teammate.

"We've gotta' contact Firestar; let her know that our mission has just been accomplished."

Spectrum's Comments: How many of you think that's really the Sorceress? This is also where the relationship between 'Stalker and 'Tress began.

SUBJ: Firestar

'Odds are that there is a bunch of Demon-goons waiting for us on the otherside. Lord Liberty, if you would be so kind as to scan behind that hatch? More than likely, the agents we dispatched will have warned the rest of the base of our presence.'

Depending on what Lord Liberty finds, we have a couple of options. If there is no one beyond the hatch, continue on as before.

If there are guards waiting for us, we could just burst in and hope to take them out quickly. That might be the best thing, provided we can take them down fast. Anyone have any other ideas?

GM Notes:

Scanning, Lord Liberty can detect 9 Demon Agents in the area beyond the hatch. The room itself is 20 wide and circular.

While being held in Nightstalker's arms, the Sorceress begins to stir.

"'Stalker? Is that you..."

After a moment, the Sorceress regains consciousness.

"Ohh... What happened? My head hurts... I remember now. Demon! Somehow you saved me."

She leans forward and kisses Nightstalker.

"Thank you'" she says with a smile.

Just then, the lights come on.

"Emotions. I shall never understand them." This comes from what a spherical shaped object, hovering near one of the doorways. What appears to be a brain floats in some kind of liquid inside the sphere. Machinery is attached to it by cables.

Beside this odd creature, is an even odder creature. It has a combination of aspects; part goat, part gargoyle and part saber-toothed tiger. A Demon of some sorts.

"Destroy these heroes, Demon", the Orb says coldly.

SUBJ: T-Storm (R) FROM: Nain 01/09/90 S#: 435377

"Well, you're the leader, and your plan seems good to me. Let's get 'em!" power pool as before.

SUBJ: Ranger FROM: Deslock 01/09/90 S#: 459778

- Any idea what we're facing out there, Chris? Let me know when your ready, then it's time to roll. -

Once I get whatever info Chris can provide, and her ready signal, I'll go into action. I'll leap through the screen into a rolling dodge, getting a bearing on where our enemies are, jumping out of the roll into a flying kick against the nearest foe. After that, its catch as catch can, keeping in motion to avoid enemy fire and to get close enough to strike back.

SUBJ: Nightingale

'I can detect 4 minds in the immediate area. I have an idea that could help you out here. No matter what happens, just keep on fighting. And, hey, be careful. I don't wish to be a widow before I even get married.'

After a quick kiss, 'Gale concentrates and gives the go-ahead signal.

SUBJ: Firestar FROM: Schar 01/10/90 S#: 126242

'It seems that we are expected. Let's not disappoint them!'

We'll opt to my first plan: Force our way in and hope to take them out before they know what is going on. Let T-Storm blow them away with his winds and the rest of us will go in and finish the job.

SUBJ: NIGHTSTALKER - Malik (R) FROM: NightStlkr 01/10/90 S#: 459735

"Hold it right there, Water on the Brain..." Malik's hollow voice echoes throughout the room. He points in the Brain's direction. Without warning, streams of brilliant blue energy shoot forward from his hand, aimed at the Brain's spherical container. NIGHTSTALKER is attempting to use his Atomic Reconstruction to transform the container into Cellophane...

"...I wouldn't make any sudden moves; you might go 'SPLAT!'. And you better call off your watchdog, here. Or you leave me no choice but to 'Burst your little bubble'..."

(Count as a Presence Attack, along with his Persuasion Skill).

If for some reason things don't go the way he wants them, NIGHTSTALKER will do his best to defend the weakened Sorceress. He'll activate his Darkness around the Sorceress and himself.

When he gets a chance to attack, Malik will surprise the 'Demon' by flying out of his Darkness and attacking via Energy Claws.

If the Brain or his Demon are dumb enough to wade into the Darkness after him, Malik will show them how he got the name, "NIGHTSTALKER".

SUBJ: Tigress FROM: T1GRESS 01/10/90 S#: 787795

"Well, personally, I think we could surprise them a little and give us the upper hand. They might expect us, but we can still catch them off guard. If you don't mind, I would lead the way."

If Firestar Okays it, I will go down the tunnel to the door. Assuming the door doesn't fly off the hinges and the agents attack, then once there, I will slowly open the door while hoisting myself up in the small area over the door way, bracing on the ceiling and wall for a moment. This should be long enough for the agents to fire and see no one there. Then leap in and attack! The others could stay just out of the corridor and then rush in after the initial attack had passed.

Well whaddya think?

SUBJ: Lord Liberty FROM: REM9 01/11/90 S#: 116057

"Your analysis of the situation seems quite accurate Firestar. If my sensors are correct, and after allowing for the possibility of more agents being in the area shielded by them, when we defeat these agents I count only another 8 agents in the base."

Lord Liberty will follow T-Storm or Tigress, whoever is in the lead, into the room and try to take the agents out fast with a nerve pinch. "You had best surrender now. We have much more power than you can muster, and do not wish to cause you any more harm than is necessary."

SUBJ: dragon FROM: Wild dan 01/12/90 S#: 99955

Nightstalker get the Sorceress out of here! If there is room I will change into a red dragon and use my fire breath in a cone.

If not I will cast fire storm.

SUBJ: Shadow FROM: BLK NINJA 01/12/90 S#: 104525

::I step in front of Tigress::

"Wrong decision Tigress.....they'll cut you or one of us into shreds. This will work, excuse me."

::I walk up to the hatch, and pull a small metallic box from my sidepack::

"Allow me. This should startle them to a large degree. Everyone, as soon as it goes off rush the guards. Tigress, why don't you accompany me here."

::I place it where the hatch opens and I then stand poised, ten feet back from the hatch, with my cape in front of tigress and I;I activate the mild charge with a small button; When it goes off, it will blow the hatch open very abruptly, with a large bright flash, and follow with a large cloud of black smoke;(that should really startle those guys)::

"Let's take 'em!!!"

::Right when it blows I bolt in a full speed and slice the guns out of the creeps hands with my blade energized ,followed by martial kicks, and E.B. blasts at full power; If they fire upon me, keep in mind I'm wearing a type of bullet proof armor under my uniform, if they are firing lasers, my cape and armor MIGHT save me, but, let's just hope that they don't.

>>Star, can anyone in our group transmit thought waves over a distance? I'd like to know how the others are doing. I have a feeling there's trouble.<<

Spectrum's Comments: ::sigh:: More fun with Shadow. This was another case of not knowing the rules of the game. He described his explosive to me as being a fairly powerful charge-- it came out to something like and 10d6 Explosion in game terms. (He built his character in MSH and I converted it over to Champs.) Obviously far more powerful then what he seems to think it would be. Hence the post below.

SUBJ: Firestar FROM: Schar 01/12/90 S#: 95997

'WHOA THERE!!! Time out, Shadow! Explosives? Isn't that a tad dangerous? As you might recall we are underwater! Can you be 100% sure that your explosion will open the door AND makes sure that it doesn't cause a rupture in the tunnel itself? I for one don't care to let the ocean in here! The guards on the other side of the door are expecting us. I'm sure that they are all in a position of safety with guns trained on the door, not standing right behind it. You blow the door and walk into a prepared crossfire. Speed is the key to this problem. Tigress and T-Storm are the fastest among us. They should be able to get in BEFORE the guards can react. With Storms area effect with gravity, the guards should go down without getting a shot off. Unless you can give me a 100% guarantee that you won't get all of us drowned, I'm afraid that I can't permit you to carry out that plan.'

'As for the second question, Nightengale is the only true telepath in the group.'

Mail From: REM9 Date: Sunday 14-Jan-90 12:49 EST

Firestar you are BEAUTIFUL!! Do you want to get married? I have been waiting for someone to tell off Shadow Twerp for a while and you did it nicely. Don't you even think of giving up leadership of the Crusaders. You are the only one who is strong enough (and pretty enough) to keep the other bozos in line.

Spectrum's Comments: As mentioned before this guy was not well liked, so when Firestar stood up to him, it made some interesting comments from the other players. Such as this mail from Lord Liberty's player.

SUBJ: Tigress FROM: T1GRESS 01/12/90 S#: 482722

"I agree with Firestar! After all, she IS the team leader. A suggestion may have been in order, but we have to all listen to what the leader says, not go off and freelance."

"And... I don't need to be protected! Especially, by someone who has to rely on a bomb, of all things!"

I will then move away from everyone, for a few moments, greatly perturbed until this blows over.

Spectrum's Comments: The fabulous feline got in on the act as well. Nice to have your decisions backed up by others.

SUBJ: Lord Liberty FROM: REM9 01/14/90 S#: 109295

"Your analysis of the situation is quite correct Firestar. You have demonstrated once again why we should follow your leadership. The walls of this tube will not stand for that kind of explosion. Furthermore my scanners reveal to me that they are mined also with high explosives and any subsequent explosion will set them off. Speed is the means that we should use to defeat these villains. I suggest that we leave here as quickly as possible as my circuits do not wish to be submerged in water."

Lord Liberty will then proceed to scan first the mines to see if there is any way to deactivate them from in here. He will then scan the room the group is about to enter and tell everyone EVERYTHING that is in there and where everyone is so that they can come up with a reasonable battle plan.

Crusaders - #45 - "DEMON and the Deep Blue Sea: Part Three"

The assault on the DEMON base continues!

After a minor disagreement about the use of explosives, the team carries on under Firestar's original plan. To make matters more interesting, Lord Liberty has detected mines in the walls of the tunnel itself. Disarming the mines would be extremely tricky business. One false move could trigger the mines.

While Firestar leads the team back to the sub-marine dock, the Tigress and T-Storm prepares to open the hatch. The hatch is unlocked, but not yet opened. The Tigress leaps to the area above the door, her claws gaining her a foothold. T-Storm swings the hatch open, using the hatch to shield himself.

As expected, energy pellets rip into the opened hatch, striking no one. A second later, the Tigress uses the hatch opening to swing into the room beyond. Almost faster than the human eye can follow, she tumbles into the Demon agents.

T-Storm follows less than a heart beat later. He activates his increased gravity attack, pulling the agents to floor once more.

A second after that, Firestar leads the rest of the team into the room. The DEMON agents go down with ease.

Firestar - "I love it when a plan comes together!"

Meanwhile, in the barracks, Ranger and Nightengale prepare for an attack of their own.

Nightengale - "Go, Ranger!"

Ranger runs out one side of the screen. Strangely enough, bullets do not chase him.

Looking back, he sees Nightengale and another Ranger rush from the other side of the screen! The agents' attention is focused on the pair of heroes. Bullets shoot out and the other Ranger goes down.

The real Ranger has reached the first Demon agent. With the agent's attention still on the others, he goes down without ever knowing what hit him.

Nightengale sends a mind bolt at the next agent, knocking him out.

The remaining agents fire at Nightengale. Before Ranger's startled eyes, she is struck several times and falls to the floor in a bloody mess!

While Orb threatens, Nightstalker acts. A strange change comes over the odd creature.

Seeing the approaching Demon, a radical change comes over Dragonman. His form grows into a red dragon, taking up a third of the room.

Opening his great maw, fire spews forth covering the Demon and Orb. The Demon is slightly hurt by the fire, but Orb shimmers slightly and then disappears.

Gently sitting the Sorceress down, Nightstalker pops his claws and greets the Demon.

The Demon swings, but misses. Nightstalker rakes with his claws. There is a brief flash and the Demon disappears. The smell of brimstone fills the room.

After a momentary rest, 'Stalker, Dragonman and the Sorceress exit the far door into the large room beyond. They are totally unprepared for the sight that awaits them...

After a moment to catch their breath, the main group of Crusaders takes a quick look around. Three large consuls are in this room. Each having numerous controls and video monitors.

Three tunnels lead away from here. Only one travels in the direction of the area that Lord Liberty can't scan.

The tunnel ends after thirty feet at another hatch. According to Lord Liberty's sensors, no Demon agents are in the area beyond. Nightstalker and Dragonman are close by, however.

The hatch opens into a large room. They are totally unprepared for the sight that awaits them....

The hatches lead into a large dome. This area is circular, 60 feet wide and 30' high at its peak. The room is split up into several workstations. Many pieces of equipment fill the room.

However, that is not what grabs everyone's attention.

Standing in the middle of the room, head almost touching the ceiling is a large THING. It is basically humanoid, with a tawny lion's mane and fine fur. It is heavily furred on its lower legs, chest and wrists. It has gold, catlike pupils for eyes and large gold ram's horns. Fur covered wings protrude from it's back.

'Who dares enter the presence of the Nether Lord unbidden!!!'

GM Notes:

As you might have guess, Star's group is coming in from the north part of the room and Nightstalker and Dragonman from the south. Due to the thing in the middle and the equipment between the two groups, neither side has spotted the other yet.

Spectrum's Comments: That was a fairly brutal post. Was Nightingale really gunned down and is this really the Nether Lord himself??

SUBJ: Ranger FROM: Deslock 01/14/90 S#: 820420

Quelling a momentary panic, I return to the task at hand, taking down the demon agents.

"So now you have killed us, agents of the demon. How then will you deal with our ghosts?"

Spectrum's Comments: Ranger picked up on the idea. It was an illusionary Nightingale and Ranger that got shot.

SUBJ: NIGHTSTALKER - Malik FROM: NightStlkr 01/14/90 S#: 422521

"Good teamwork, Dragonman. C'mon, let's go find the others. This mission was a lot easier than I expected..."

Malik flies down the corridors with Dragonman, carrying The Sorceress in his arms (assuming she's still a little weak...). When they get to the domed room, he lands in the doorway with a look of total bewilderment on his face as he sees the 30'-tall demon.

"...Did I say 'Easy'...CRIPES!!! Look at the SIZE of that guy..."

After NIGHTSTALKER picks his lower jaw off the floor, he contemplates his possible options on how to handle Mr. BIG; Malik may be cocky, but he's not suicidal. Also, his primary concern is keeping The Sorceress out of harm's way while in her presently weakened state. He finally musters up enough strength to speak.

"Nether-Lord...I Malik, Prince of Phantor and wielder of The Power Primal dares enter your presence!!!"

NIGHTSTALKER would rather use his uncanny knack of Persuasion to outsmart the Nether-Lord. But if he has no choice but to fight, he'll make sure that The Sorceress is safe, then take to the air and get as close as he can to the Nether-Lord's face. Bright blue streams of energy spurt from his fingers as he lets off a Power Burst aimed at the most vulnerable area he can find: The EYES...

'Good work, T-Storm and Tigress. I knew you could do it. Now let's go get our friend!'

However, fate and certain dm's have away of messing up one's plans!

After recovering from the shock of seeing the giant demon, I'll quickly give out instructions and then attack.

'This is it team. Looks like we're in for the fight of our lives. You all know your individual talents far better than I. Attack at your own discretion. The kid gloves are off.'

I'll then take to the air and circle the giant, hitting it with blasts of fire. I won't use the Nova Blast in fear of hitting my own teammates.

((We don't stand a chance, We must flee!...No, honor must be served...but where is the honor in losing to the impossible?...I have been CHOSEN,I can not turn away!...But if I flee and live, will I not serve BETTER than if I stay and am destroyed needlessly?...How many will suffer and die if we are not here to champion their cause?!?...This is foolishness, we are but MEN, and this is truly a GOD of evil! Flee, it is our only hope!...NO!! Only by confronting the impossible and enduring can a man take one step closer to becoming a GOD!))

"By the blood of my predecessor and the sacred trust of his lineage...Ram's head...YOU WILL FALL!!!"

The gem on the young brave's brow pulses so brightly it's nearly blinding. SUBJ: The Shadow FROM: BLK NINJA 01/19/90 S#: 473753

At times I wonder why we always attack first and ask questions later but oh well.

In my unearthly cold voice

[WE ARE THE CRUSADERS.WE'VE COME TO RESCUE OUR FRIEND, THOUGH WE'VE HAD TO FIGHT OUR WAY THROUGH YOUR FORCES.IF POSSIBLE WE WOULD LEAVE WITHOUT ENGAGING YOU, BUT IF YOU WONT ALLOW IT, WE WILL FIGHT.]

Judging by his ego, he probably will fight, but I wanting to give him the benefit of the doubt.

::If he fights, I draw my sword and engage all of my Darkforce powers; I concentrate all of my mental abilities into one intention (Stop or destroy this creature);I then take to the air::

"Liberty, what's this guys weakness? Nice of you to join us Stalker, let's flank him! Sorceress, if you can, find out if this creature is truly magical! Above all, everyone hit him from all sides, until we can figure out his weakness.....and watch out for those paws!"

::I commence to dart by and hack into him with my Black Blade; (it's magical based, so it should hurt him) My first strike will be at full power and force to the neck(hoping to decapitate it's head); If I have any attack moves left I will fire full power E.B. blasts into his eyes; On the defensive side, I will be very wary of his hands eyes and mouth, seeing that we haven't seen what he can do; I will dodge everything at full speed; and once I get a chance I will slice a hole into the top of the dome just to see what's on the other side::

It may be to our advantage, either as a way of escape or a way to destroy the base, by flooding it (that is if water is outside). If he doesn't attack, we'll leave! B)

Spectrum's Comments: Things look rather dire for our heroes, but believe it or not things get much, much worse! Stay tuned!
