Turbo possesses the power of superspeed. He can run so fast as to be able to run up the sides of buildings, over water, even across ceilings. His non-combat speed has been measured as being 700 MPH. Turbo can vibrate his molecules to pass through solid objects. Otherwise, he can do many stunts available to those who possess superspeed. Stunts such as; paint a house in seconds, pluck missiles out of the air, move people or objects around faster than the naked eye, or simply drag others along in his jetstream.

Tommy Wilson is a mutant with superspeed. The world seems to move slowly around him to his point of view. To onlookers, Turbo is always in motion. In spite of this, Tommy Wilson looks like any other teenager. However, due to his mutation, Turbo ages twice as fast as normal physically, but his mentality grew at a normal rate. Right now, he appears to be twenty years old, but behaves like a ten year old child.

Turbo grew up in the mid-west and was something of a problem child. His parents raised him as best they could, but Tommy's hyper-activity drove them up the wall. As his powers increased, they became more desperate for a solution. The answer came in the form of the Gladiator who told them about the Young Champions program. They agreed to allow Tommy to travel to Sanctuary to receive training and possible medical help for his condition.

Personality wise, Tommy acts like a ten year. A hyperactive ten year old. He treats everything like a game. Since arriving on Sanctuary, Turbo has been taken under the wing of Rush, an elder speedster from the thirties and forties. The two have formed a strong bond.

Tommy is becoming frustrated by all the rules that he has to live by on Sanctuary. He's still very much a child, and something of a brat, in his behavior. Gladiator is considering allowing Turbo to participate further in Young Champion missions.
