Known Powers:

Jason is a combination of a fire and earth elemental. His powers are telekinetic in nature; the ability to manipulate the earth according to his whims. He can raise a large, earthen fist, or up to a dozen normal sized arms. These earthen limbs can appear away from Jason and respond according to his whims. Another use of his control over the earth is to have the ground rise up and encase his foes. Terra Fire can ride on earthen waves, like a surfer rides on water, or transport himself by disappearing into the ground itself. Lastly, Jason can tap into pockets of lava and have them rise to the surface with spectacular results.

Minor related powers include the ability to survive temperature extremes, and a high degree of resistance to attacks in his spheres of influence. Jason can also sense things around him as long as they are touching the ground.

Lastly, Jason has discovered that he and his sister, Tempest, can physically merge to form a third being-- a creature with mastery over all four ancient elements.

Notes:

Jason McTaggert is the victim of a scientific experiment. He was kidnapped from his home in Detroit and woke up nearly six months later in a VIPER Lab in El Paso, Texas. With him was his sister, Jessica, and the mysterious Jennifer. The teens encountered the Superior Seven and the Young Champions, who helped them escape the lab.

Accepting an offer to learn how to use his powers and be trained, Jason joined the Young Champions program. He currently lives on Sanctuary Island. Jason continues to gain more control over his powers and has strong, heroic ideals.

Jason's parents divorced when he was young. His mother and twin sister moved away to Miami. Jason was a quiet, almost nerdish kid. He likes to work on cars and machinery in general. Before his change, Jason was homely and overweight. Now he's handsome and has a chiseled body that Jason is still adjusting to.

Recently, Jason had physically merged with his sister Jessica. Fortunately, this state was only temporary as the twins were separated in an explosion.

Jason is in the beginning stages of a relationship with Firestar from the Avengers. Both are the same age and attend classes held by Nightingale. He attended the Huntress' pool party as Firestar's date and got to meet the Avengers and several other New York area heroes. Jason was in awe of their presence.

Lost Heroes Notes:

By the time of Lost Heroes, Terra Fire has changed his name to Tremor and altered his costume to more earthen tones. He was a founding member of the Defenders at the request of Black Diamond. Later, during the major assault against Dr. Destroyer, Tremor was savagely killed by Ripper. The incident triggered Firestar's permanent transformation into Starfire, setting her off on a murderous rampage that was finally ended by Muskateer.
