Known Powers:

Sabre has the ability to imbue objects with a destructive energy. Typically he empowers his sword for hand-to-hand combat, or into steel marbles for ranged attacks. Sabre can also utilize this energy to transport himself, and up to four others, from place to place. In addition, Sabre has special sight that allows him to see through most objects and up to great distances. Sabre has a natural talent for mimicry and language translation.

Sabre's powers are an offshoot of his parents' own unique talents. His father is most commonly known as Blade, and he also possesses energy powers somewhat similar to that of his son. Blade taught his son the art of combat with and without weapons. His mother goes by the name of Bryn. Although she was born in Germany, Bryn's family has a tinge of Norse Deity blood in their line. Bryn is superstrong; stronger than either Blade or Sabre. His younger sister, Yrsa, has super powers as well but tends to take more after her mother than father. Sabre also cousin to Firestar, Marie Debray, the Commodore, and Phantasm/Phosphene.

Blade was born on a parallel-Earth called Ean, descended from a being called Azor. All of Azor's descendants possess super-human powers of various types and degrees. Due to this relationship, Azor's children are said to be 'of the blood', or just Blood for short. On Earth the Blood register as mutants on such detection devices, in spite of the fact that they are not true mutations. Sabre is fully aware of his heritage.

Sabre's natural talent for mimicking voices has placed him in great demand in Hollywood. He has amassed a small fortune by doing voice-overs and impersonating other celebrities. His talents are often in demand as a language translator and he has worked at the United Nations on several occasions. Sabre is also a skilled juggler and trained in the sleight of hand tricks of the stage magicians.

At Sabre's suggestion, he joined with Spectrum, Morning Star, Empress, Blizzard, and Shockwave to form X-Factor. He has since been involved in battles against the Crimson Claw, Mechanon's Kilbots, and Hexmaster. Recently, he has started to date LAPD Detective Jackie Carter, whom he rescued from the clutches of Hexmaster.
