Mind Slayer is a mutant with mental powers. Her most powerful abilities are her telekinetic powers. Mind Slayer can fly by mentally lifting herself into the air, create a field that deadens the force of incoming attacks, and even lift great weights with her mind. Mind Slayer's most impressive telekinetic power is the ability to create razor sharp bursts of pure thought. These shadowy blades are projected from her hands and can penetrate cement and armor. Their effect on flesh can be lethal.

In addition to her telekinetic powers, Mind Slayer can mentally attack the minds of others and has the ability to find other minds. Mind Slayer has minor telepathic abilities and can sense mental powers in operation around her.

Notes:

Stacy Turner was a normal Chicago teenager when a representative from PSI called on her home. The man informed Stacy and her parents that she was a very special child, and that PSI wished to give her special schooling. Her parents were delighted and allowed the man to take Stacy to the PSI school.

Upon her arrival, Stacy found out exactly what kind of school she had been recruited by. PSI was a organization of mentalists bent on world domination. They actively searched for budding psionicists to recruit and train into their doctrine. The administrators told Stacy that she was a latent psionic mutant and that they would help her powers come to the surface. They never told her just how painful this process would be. Stacy found herself cut off from the outside world as PSI tortured her mind and body.

Six months later, Stacy was weak and frail, but was gaining more and more control over her impressive mental powers. Her one and only friend at the PSI school was Christina Blackledge, an even more powerful psionic. Christina and Stacy were PSI's prized pupils. Somehow, Chris had lasted nearly two years at the hands of PSI. Her great psionic talents allowed her to resist PSI's indoctrinations.

Finally, the two decided to attempt an escape. They fled the hidden school, chased by PSI hounds most of the way. They managed to elude their pursuers and reach Buffalo, New York. After they stole clothing and were planning to stow away on a plane, they were again cornered by the hounds. Christina was knocked to the ground while Stacy hovered overhead. Instead of helping the pleading Chris, Stacy fled, abandoning her friend to her fate. (See Nightingale's Biography for more on Christina Blackledge)

Stacy reached the airport and hid in the storage area of one of the planes. The plane eventually landed in Chicago. Overjoyed, Stacy rushed home only to find that her parents had mysteriously disappeared shortly after she had left to join PSI. With no other family in the area and no one else to turn to, Stacy took to the streets to survive. Theft and prostitution became Stacy's main means of support. She would do whatever it took to get her hands on wealth.

As Stacy's control of her powers grew, she adopted the identity of Mind Slayer. On one of her first outings as Mind Slayer, she was humiliated by the Chicago heroine Peregrine. Future endeavors were thwarted by Tritium and Mecha, all members of the Champions. Stacy developed a deep-rooted hatred of super heroines because of this. Several encounters with Morning Star gave Mind Slayer particular reason to hate that famous heroine.

PSI once more entered Stacy's life as they attempted to capture Mind Slayer. She was now powerful enough to hold the hounds off, and this time fled to the west. Mind Slayer wandered the country for the next several years, occasionally working as a Psionic for Hire.

Unfortunately, the mutant-hating organization Genocide managed to capture her. Mind Slayer awoke in the bizarre Arena with several other mutants. Working together, they managed to escape. Six months later, while in Los Angeles, she encountered Spectrum, one of the many mutants that Genocide had captured. He made her an offer that she couldn't refuse. After getting Scorpia's approval, Mind Slayer became a founding member of Terror Unlimited.

Mind Slayer's love affair with Spectrum came to an unexpected end when he mysteriously changed form and fell into a coma. (Stacy was unaware that this was the other Spectrum, Hexmaster's son, in reality.) Since that time, Mind Slayer has been a loyal member of Terror Unlimited, doing whatever Scorpia requires of her.

During the Thugmaster's Elite graudation ceremonies, Mind Slayer and her Terror Unlimited teammtes came face to face with Terror Incorporated. Battle immediately followed and Mind Slayer slew the newest Terror Incorporated member Dragonfly after being stung by him. The psionic villianess was taken to safety by Terror Unlimited's new recruit Black Hole.

Mind Slayer was originally created by Glenn Thain and appeared in the first Enemies book. Later, she was upgraded to 4th Edition by Scott F. Heine in the Mind Games sourcebook. This version of Mind Slayer lies somewhere between those two. This version was designed by Spectrum with art by Muskateer.
