Known Powers:

Icicle is a mutant with the ability to freeze water molecules in the air for a variety of ice-related effects. She can create ice before her and use it to slide on for rapid movement. Icicle can surround her foes in ice or create freestanding walls. She can also hit enemies with rams of ice or blasts of icicles. Lastly, she is highly resistant to cold and can absorb coldness to strengthen herself. Hot or dry locations tend to limit her powers.

Notes:

Jennifer is a runaway. She fled home after being nearly beaten to death by her own father. (He didn't take her being a mutant very well...) Icicle is not a bad person, but feels that her options are limited at the moment. She does have a greedy streak, which draws her into criminal activities. Icicle could be turned from her villainess path with the proper understanding and kindness. She has a strong desire to be accepted, somewhere, never having ever fit in anywhere.

Jennifer was traveling cross-country when she was captured by Genocide and placed in the Arena environment. There, she ran into other mutants, primarily Spectrum and Shadow Queen. The trio managed to escape to Denver and planned on heading to Los Angeles. However, the plane they were flying in crashed.

After getting out of the hospital, Jennifer was back to square one. Spectrum had disappeared and she had no desire to locate Shadow Queen. She reached Los Angeles in a few weeks and fell into the local VIPER operation. She currently works as a villainess for that criminal organization.

Icicle has encountered Spectrum several times since arriving in Los Angeles. The first was while investigating the Tanghal Tower that Spectrum was guarding for Heroes for Hire. The two talked and Spectrum tried to get Icicle to leave VIPER. But she was too afraid to betray VIPER and refused. She and Spectrum crossed several times since that first encounter. It was Icicle's clue that led to Spectrum's involvement in VIPER's scheme to blackmail the City of Dallas for twenty billion dollars. Later she directed Spectrum to the new location of the Crimson Claw's citadel.

When Spectrum's father died, Icicle bravely went to pay her respects at his funeral, in spite of the numerous heroes and police in attendance. She briefly spoke with Morning Star while both were in their secret identities. This conversation led Morning Star to believe that Spectrum was right about Icicle that she could be helped and turned away from the life of a criminal.

When X-Factor invaded the VIPER's Nest, Icicle was forced to choose between her VIPER masters or her loyalty to Spectrum. Her hesitation to go into battle enraged the Nest Leader and he turned on Icicle, essentially making her choice for her. Icicle has since surrendered to PRIMUS.

Despite the aid she had given to X-Factor, PRIMUS decided to arrest Icicle and put her on trial for her crimes. It was only her timely aid against Terror Unlimited that allowed Jennifer to avoid this fate. Instead, Icicle has essentially become a ward of X-Factors and is on extended probation. The terms of her probation include community service work as a heroine as part of X-Factor. Should she violate her probation, Icicle will be tried for her crimes. In the meantime, she will be serving her sentence out in the same VIPER's Nest that she helped X-Factor liberate. It has been given to X-Factor to use as a base for the time being.

Icicle's first action as a member of X-Factor was taking on the Demolition Crew who were attempting to rob the First National Bank of California. The icy mutant mostly acted as a sniper during the conflict, but was used as a hostage by Airhammer, allowing the Crew to escape.

While attempting to rescue Blizzard and Impact from the Thugmaster's Elite, Icicle ran into her former Nest Leader and the villian Hammerhead. Hammerhead attempted to kill Icicle with his forearm cannon, but the blast was intercepted by Spectrum. The forces of VIPER are actively hunting Icicle now.

Icicle is based on the Champions character of the same name, but has been modified, including costume, by Muskateer.

In this potential future, Icicle has fully reformed and become a heroine. She joins the Defenders and was killed when Starfire was unleashed during the attack on Dr. Destroyer.
