Known Powers:
All of FIST's powers are derived from his armor. The armor affords FIST a high degree of personal protection and amplifies many of his physical traits to superhuman levels. FIST's armor contains an array of sensory equipment, extending FIST's vision into the infrared and ultraviolet ranges. Additionally, he can see microscopically or telescopically as well. The armor has a variety of weapons stored in its arms and gauntlets. The left arm can fire force beams and launch concussion grenades. The right arm fires a laser and also launches sleeping gas grenades. Or he can amplify his already impressive strength for brief periods of time. Boot jets in the armor allow FIST to fly.
Notes:
Henry Driscoll had it all. He was both handsome and wealthy. A brilliant physician, Henry was highly regarded by all in his profession. That ended sadly one evening. While helping out at a free-clinic, a group of thugs broke in looking for drugs. Not finding enough to satisfy their needs, they beat Henry senseless and set the place on fire. Henry awoke, his body on fire. On sheer will alone, Dr. Driscoll crawled from the flames. When the fire fighters arrived, they found his severely burned body near the entrance to the clinic.
Driscoll's body was nearly burned beyond recognition. Just surviving was in itself a miracle. When Henry Driscoll regained consciousness, he was on life support in the hospital. Once more, Dr. Driscoll refused to accept this fate; thoughts of revenge gave him the strength to go on living. Working with other scientists donating their time from Campbell Industries International, Driscoll designed a mobile life support system inside a suit of powered armor.
The designing of the armor itself took nearly a year. Once completed, Henry Driscoll was surgically implanted inside his life support armor. The armor gave Driscoll the mobility he otherwise would have never had again. In time, extra sensory equipment was added, as well as offensive capabilities, and flight.
Upon entering the armor, Henry Driscoll ceased to exist. Calling himself Number 6 (in homage to the old Prisoner TV Series and his current condition), he tracked down the gang who had attacked him. Upon locating them, Number 6 had planned to inflict the same kind of pain on them that they had on him. Number 6 pummeled the gang into submission, but stopped short of actually killing them. His doctor's oath to save lives stopped him, but only just barely.
When Sheryl Campbell formed the Freedom League, Number 6 was asked to join. He couldn't refuse since it was CII scientists who had helped him in his time of need. However, it was asked that he adopt a different heroic code name, as Number 6 seemed so obscure. He chose the name FIST as a replacement. The letters don't stand for anything in particular.
FIST is a tortured soul who is bitter about his fate. He cannot survive outside his armor and can never again live a normal life. For the most part FIST works in his laboratory and stays at the main CII plant. Occasionally, he assists in a Freedom League endeavor. Such as when the Freedom League assisted the Avengers in raiding a local DEMON Base, or when CII is broken in to. Rarely is FIST ever seen in public.
FIST was created by Muskateer and Spectrum. Much of FIST's back story is based on a character called 'Number 6' created by the user Deslock on Q-Link who appeared in one of our Message Based games on that defunct network. Art is by Muskateer.
