Known Powers:
Dreadnought is a mutate who was exposed to an unknown form of radiation while in space. His skin was altered into metallic blue, flexible metal-like hide. There appears to be seams in his skin where plates of metal overlap and are rivited together. This new skin is highly resistant to penetration and protects TK from high pressure and temperature extremes that could potentially be fatal to normal human beings. Dreadnought is superhumanly strong, and is among the strongest beings on the planet. His strength has increased over the years to its current level. Dreadnought is a very skilled boxer. In spite of his great bulk, the Dreadnought has not suffered a loss in agility or manual dexterity. Lastly, Dreadnought is one of the best pilots in the world.
Notes:
Astronaut and Navy Pilot Tyrone Armbuster was exposed to an unknown type of radiation in space thirteen years ago. Miraculously, he was able to pilot his craft back to Earth. The ship crashed but the form that TK had mutated into was able to survive the crash with ease. Understandably distraught over his transformation and given his new appearance, TK called himself Dreadnought after the naval battleship and the name stuck.
The Dreadnought has been an active hero ever since his transformation. He has battled bouts of depression on and off during this time. The Dreadnought is on his second tour of duty with the Avengers and has been a member of both the Guardians and the now disbanded Gold Coast Guardians. Tyrone Armstrong still has close ties to NASA officials.
Radiation can play havoc with his mutation, sometimes temporarily altering his structure. Past exposures have returned the Dreadnought to a normal human, or made him even more hideous in appearance. However, the Dreadnought was recently exposed to the same radiation that mutated him the first place. Extreme exertion would trigger unexplained radiation attacks. The first occurring while in battle with the Ravager, the second against the White Dragon.
The second attack was far worse than the first. Driven to madness in pain, the Dreadnought rampaged through the Avengers Mansion going through anyone in his way. For unknown reasons, TK took a Quinnjet and flew north as the radiation started to further mutate his body. The other Avengers pursued.
The chase led to the Queen Elizabeth Islands where TK's Quinnjet crashed. Something that resembled a giant metallic egg was found in the wreckage. Nightingale could tell that TK was inside the metal egg, but was unable to mentally communicate with him. It's anyone's guess what's going to happen next to the Dreadnought when the shell cracks.
The Dreadnought was created by Spectrum & Muskateer.
