Known Powers:
Daigon is a skilled marital artist who uses a demonic-looking suit of armor to amplify her natural abilities. The armor makes her tougher, stronger, and more resistant to harm. A jetpack and boots gives Daigon the power of flight. She can project a bright flash from the eyes of the armor to temporarily blind her foes. Lastly, armored bracers on her forearms are capable of reflecting ranged attacks.
Notes:
Francis Rothchild was born an English noblewoman to very proud parents. Unfortunately, she suffered from a rare skin disorder that made her extremely vulnerable to sunlight. Francis grew up indoors, lonely and embittered. She had few friends and couldn't attend a normal school. To pass the time, Francis tutored herself in the martial arts, primarily as a way to release her pent up anguish. In time, she became a master of the martial arts.
Upon the death of her parents, Francis tried to join the uppercrust of social circles with disasterous results. Given that she only went out at night, the other nobility dubbed her a 'Lady of the Evening'. For Francis, this was the last straw and something inside of her snapped. She believed herself meant for a higher destiny and that she herself was a daughter of a demon. Using what remained of her wealth, Francis commissioned a suit of battle armor to wear to allow her to carry out her demonic whims. Now calling herself Daigon, named after a monster in a fairy tale, Francis now follows her destiny which allows her to perform endless acts of violence and villainy.
Daigon found steady work as a mercenary for hire, having served many different employers. With her family fortune now gone, Daigon needs to generate a regular income to maintain her armor. For the most part, Daigon is a professional. Now and then she'll indulge her fancy and toy with a wounded foe, letting them suffer before finishing them off. She has killed before and has no compunctions about killing again should the need arise. Daigon is as callous and sarcastic as the demon she thinks she is.
Daigon was briefly part of an alliance headed by Beamline and Neutron to capture the Emerald Eye of Azog. She betrayed her employers and attempted to take the Eye for herself, but ended up being fried by the protective energy that surrounded the Emerald Eyes. Later, Daigon made her way to Sanctuary and was hired by Howler to serve as an enforcer. She currently is part of Howler's band in the quest for a lost Aztec tribe.
Once the presence of the Tigress was discovered on the Jade Princess, Daigon took an immediate dislike to the heroine. She tried to rough the Tigress up, but was interrupted by Tempest and then by Howler herself. Daigon then waited until Howler and Tempest were away looking for directions to the Lost Realm of Azkan to attack Tigress with the intent of drowning her.
This time Tigress was ready and it was Daigon that went down in combat. Tigress wrapped the villainess up in the very same chains she intended to drown Tigress in. Howler, angered over the whole incident, deliberately left Daigon like that until the Jade Princess was well away from the island Tigress had fled too. Because of these incidents, Daigon has sworn revenge on Tigress.
Upon arriving at the Lost Realm of Azkan, Daigon revealed her true allegiance. She had been an agent of Malachite all along, planted in Howler's group to make sure things played out as Malachite wished. Panda and Raccoon joined temporarily with Daigon, but later double crossed her by fleeing when attacked by the Young Champions. Daigon battled the Tigress again in single combat, but the issue was not settled as the heroine mysteriously vanished.
Shortly there after, all the living specimens Malachites men had taken were teleported away as the Azkan departed in his space ship. Angered over their failure, Malachite has refused to pay Daigon for her actions. However, he has another mission in mind for the armored mercenary. Daigon will most likely accept this new mission, regardless of what it involves as the reward to her success would be a cure for her rare skin condition.
Daigon's new mission involved following Malachite scientists to San Diego, California. Using the knowledge gained from their examinations of Tigress and Tempest, Malachite set forth to use the mysterious white radiation to create four perfect women. The experiment when awry when magical and temporal energy interfered with the experiment. The resulting collision of energies a wave of white radiation that swept through downtown San Diego. The wave dramatically changed Daigon, transforming her into the demoness she always thought she was.
Daigon's new form is reptilian-like in appearance, complete with nasty claws and twisted golden horns. She's also gained several new abilities, among which is the ability to leap vast distances and stick to walls. Daigon has also picked up the weaknesses of demons and was particularly hurt by the Holy Aura generated by the Knight Serena. Daigon's rare skin condition was cured in the process and she is no longer bothered by sunlight.
After recovering from being defeated by Serena, Daigon fled swearing vengeance on all those who have crossed her path.
Daigon originally appeared in the Champions Adventure Target Hero by David Matalon. She has been upgraded and modified for our campaign by Spectrum.
