As per tradition, both Muskateer and myself voted as well. We made our picks before anyone else and our choices will be presented on this page as well as our reasoning. Spectrum's comments are in orange, while Muskateer's are in green text. Comments by individual characters will be in a box. Shall we get on with it?
Favorite Male Hero:
My runner-up would have to be Terra Fire. After all, frolicking in a pool with Firestar, Night Owl, and Willow Witch has to count for something!
Muskateer's Pick: Muskateer. Big surprise, huh? Thanks for the kudos, Spec. I happened to think I had a good year, too, but it's nice to hear from others. This is an easy pick for me since I have such close ties to the character. I would be very surprised if I picked someone else, but I do also think that Muskateer deserves the award this year.My runners-up are the Thing and Terra Fire.
Spectrum and Blizzard tied for second place, with Jack O' Lantern, Thing, and Sabre in a three way tie for fourth place. Voters' comments about Favorite Hero ranged from:
Winner's Comments: And to think the Avengers recruited me by accident! Thanks to those who voted for me and to those who didn't, watch out for a taser blast in the bum...
I am glad to see that there are people out there who are fond of Spectrum. It's hard to tell on our end at times. Based on the counters, the Spectrum issues are among the least looked at titles on the site. To quote Sally Fields: "You like me! You really like me!" Special thanks to Bruce for his novel length comments. Look for your basket of cookies at an E-mail box near you!
I am pleased that both Blizzard and Sabre received votes. We've got plans for Blizzard and it should be interesting to see how they play out. Sabre is one of those characters that I feel we can do better with. Unlike the majority of our characters, there are no past adventures for us to draw upon for him. Anything involving him is totally brand new.
Jocko getting votes didn't surprise me at all. He's such a unique character that you can't help but notice him. Our Halloween Hero is also one of those characters who will surface every so often, probably where you least expect it. We feel that regular appearances by him would ruin his charm. Too much of a good thing, you know.
You gotta love the Thing! He's perhaps one of my all-time favorite comic book characters. We just need to use him more. He will get a bit more on screen time as the effects of his second exposure to the Q'yrrm radiation takes effect!
Muskateer's Comments: I have to admit that I was a little surprised that the voting was so close. (how overconfident of me.) I guess that's partially my own fault, since I could have done more writing this past year (tell Tanya). By the same token, it's good to see interest in other characters, so it's a mixed feeling, I guess.
I ended up having a tough time writing this year a couple of times and my files really bogged down. I'm glad I talked Spectrum into the new writing idea (story arcs, instead of bouncing around so much), as it should benefit my writing substantially. I am much more single minded in my writing moods than he.
Spectrum and the Thing are more major characters on our site, so not surprised they got votes. Sabre and Blizzard don't get as much time in the forefront, so it's nice to see they're appreciated. I would love to do more with Blizzard and we have plans for him over time. I agree with Spectrum that we can do better with Sabre.
Favorite Heroine:
Spectrum's Pick: Unlike our first category, this one is always a tough one to choose. Frankly, we like them all. So, it was a matter of choosing which heroine stood out this year. My vote goes to the Scarlet Sabre. Scarlet's had a great year, ranging from her solo exploits to her appearances in Muskateer and Huntress. She's a fun character to write and I look forward to her future exploits. Runner ups for me would be Tigress, Huntress, Morning Star, and Purple Phlox.
Muskateer's Pick: Enchantress. Well, this is probably a biased vote, but then this is supposed to be favorite. Gwen is my favorite heroine for a number of reasons and while she may not have had a year with a huge impact, I still have to vote for her. Besides she reminds me an awful lot of my Tanya! There is a lot to be seen of Gwen and her relationship with Muskateer in the months to come. I can't say more than that, because it is fairly involved and it's also a secret for now.
I had considered voting for a few other heroines, but the Enchantress won out in my heart. Those others would be Tigress, the Purple Phlox and the Huntress.
Other heroines receiving votes included: Scarlet Sabre, Enchantress, Firestar, Tigress, & Purple Phlox. Your comments included:
Winner's Comments: "Wow, two years in a row. I'm very surprised and yet pleased at the same time. Thank you very much for your support."
Scarlet will primarily be appearing only in her title this coming year. She'll have a major role in Avengers #29, but after that just some cameo's in Huntress and Muskateer. Still, you'll be seeing plenty of our swordswoman.
Firestar and the Enchantress will continue to appear in the Avengers. They both should get significant screen time as both have major events coming up for them in the coming year. Not sure if we'll see the Purple Phlox this year, but you never know. Tigress will continue to appear in Young Champions and has her own Troubleshooters mini-series in the works!
Muskateer's Comments: Much like last year, the Huntress won the Favorite Heroine category and yet she's still in fifth place on most looked at bios. Strange how those things work out. Guess the exit polls aren't always right, huh? I am curious to see how things work out for her in the upcoming issues. I personally didn't like the Huntress much at the beginning, but have grown more fond of her over the years. She's still a little TOO straight-laced for my tastes. There's a new costume in the works for her, but still have a few details to work out before it sees the light of day (or maybe night). With the writing Spec has planned in February, I need to get moving on it!
Gwen is still my favorite and she has a bigger story arc coming later this year or so. I am also quite happy with the Tigress' first issue in Troubleshooters, so she could do well in this category next year also.
Spectrum's Pick: Archangel. I have to admit that my pick surprises even me. Our winged Young Champion has been fleshed out considerably since we first started turning him into a fairly interesting character. Just the right touch of pathos and arrogance. It'll be interesting to see what affect Black Raven has on him in the files to come.
Tied for second were Archangel and Gladiator. The Thing took 4th place.
Winner's Comments: Roses are red, ballots are blue. Uncle Henry thinks I'm great! Now, so do you too!
There's quite a bit of mystery to Gladiator, but in this instance I do know about his past. Not sure when or if any of these details are going to come out. We'll just have to wait and see what happens! My thoughts on Archangel and the Thing were covered earlier.
Muskateer's Comments: Jocko's a great character if I may say so myself. I've always liked him, but it's a case of not doing too much or he seems to lose some of his mystique. Still I am looking forward to the series with Photon and him. There's a lot of back story in my head that no one, not even Spectrum, knows about. It'll be interesting to see how it leaks out and when. Jack O'Lantern has a long story to tell and it will definitely be some time before the real truth is revealed. In the meantime, you can always stop by Uncle Henry and Aunt Matilda's place. Tell them Boris sent you.
Muskateer's Pick: Tigress. As mentioned by Spectrum, this is probably the toughest category for me, as there are many female supporting characters that I really like. I voted for Spinnerette last year and she has always been one of my favorite characters. I would like the opportunity to write more of her. There are more stories for her slated for the future including two separate mini-series that will expand on her background.
I just plain like Firestar, although she didn't get as much screen time this year as some others. I also considered Satara. This was a character I never really thought much about. She was just Sabre's sister in my mind. For some unknown reason, I decided that I didn't really like the mental image I had of her and came up with her new costume as something different. That seemed to change my whole view of her.
Empress has continued on her shrewish ways. Shockwave and Mockingbird are getting more airtime. And Felina had an eventful year on the site. However, I slightly surprised myself with my vote for the Tigress. I have been thinking a lot about her lately and have made more and more plans for her mini-series. It's still far away, but at the moment she's my favorite. And I probably would have voted for Spinnerette again, but there are so many in this category that I wanted to spread the wealth around.
Felina edged out Spinnerette, with Morning Star, Tigress, Firestar, Silver Spectre and Sapphire in a massive tie for third. Once more, our voters speak:
Winner's Comments: "My special thanks to all those who picked me. For those who voted for someone else, you can say that I stole this one!"
I pretty much covered Spin above, so I'll move on to the Tigress and Morning Star. Both of these ladies were created by Muskateer, but I've ended up putting the majority of the words into their mouths. So its a bit of an odd situation. Tigress is fun to write and her upcoming mini-series looks pretty good so far. Morning Star is a very old character, but one that I've only written about for the website. She's been fleshed out quite a bit more in the new stuff, with more details about her past and her powers come to light. Morning Star and Spectrum did become a couple in the old stuff and were married. It'll be interesting to see if that will still come to pass.
When given the chance, Sapphire can be one of our funniest characters-- not intentionally of course. The date issue of Young Champions gave you a taste of that side of her. Future events with our Azurian should be interesting as I have another popular character in mind for Sapphire to further try out her concept of human mating rituals! Should be a riot!
What's not to love about Firestar? She's cute, she's sweet, and she has a hidden malevolent personality! The real deal about the Firestar/Starfire situation will be revealed--- eventually. Depending on how things go, look for a Starfire appearance in the Avengers about a year or so from now! Terra Fire definitely has his hands full with this young lady!
Silver Spectre didn't appear much this year, but made the most of her appearance in Avengers #25. Yes, she does have superpowers! There is a mystery about Spectre, and around all the Wild Cards for that matter. I've roughly plotted out a Wild Cards mini-series for Troubleshooters that should answer all your questions about them. The second issue would focus on Spectre herself. We'll have to see if it gets done this year or not.
Muskateer's Comments: This one surprised me, since Felina isn't what you would call a heroine. More of an anti-heroine really. But there's no doubt she had an eventful year and is quite deserving. I expected Spin to win personally and had I voted for her, then they would have tied. However, I do feel strongly about the Tigress as well. She's very fresh in my mind and this probably contributed to my vote for her, plus the fact that I've seen most of an issue that you guys out there haven't looked at yet. We'll get to see more of the Tigress' personality and background and not just her animalistic tendencies.
Spectrum's Pick: The villain who made the biggest impression has to be the Ravager. Not a subtle villain and more akin to an elemental force of destruction. Any villain who can more than hold his own against the Avengers is certainly someone to take note of.
Muskateer's Pick: Black Paladin. Okay, okay, I know he didn't even make an appearance in any of this year's files. Are you going to argue that fact with him? Frankly my favorite male villains are Black Paladin, Ankylosaur and Ripper. None of them made it into a file this year. (Yeah, I know, I need to write more. Try telling that to my wife.) Black Paladin is still operating behind the scenes at the moment, while the others are more unknown, so the Dark Knight of Doom gets my vote.
Other favorite bad boys included Lord Evil, Ravager, Red Fly, Lightmaster, and Shamrock. Let's see what our voters had to say:
Winner's Comments: "I salute your wisdom and common sense. The choice was not a difficult one to make. The rest are rank amateurs unworthy of your attention."
Lord Evil is a major player over in the Avengers, so he'll be putting in appearances. Shamrock is a force to be reckoned with and will continue to do so in X-Factor. Not sure if the Red Fly will turn up this year, but you never know. As I write this, I don't have much plotted out for the Huntress beyond issue #27, but I plan on using our Russian thief again. Just maybe not this year. The person you know as Lightmaster will appear again, but not in a manner that any of you might expect. It'll be one of those 'totally out of left field' kind of things. That leaves the Ravager, who won't be appearing again for awhile.
Spectrum's Comments: It was Black Paladin in another runaway. He left all the other bad guys in the dust. Not bad considering that he never even appeared last year! (I automatically put all defending champions on the ballots regardless of whether they appeared or not.) We have plans for Black Paladin and expect to see him appear in this coming year. Bowing to the desires of our readers, BP will finally get the Bio treatment!
My choice is Lady Darkness. Now this might be like some of our other choices being the case where we simply know more about the character than the readers have been shown. She's evil, malevolent, and dresses interestingly. Plus, she's also been the driving force behind several things that the readers haven't been clued into as of yet. For instance, did you know that Power Crusher and his gang from Avengers #2 were hired by Lady Darkness and Lord Evil?
Now, a year later, quite a bit has been revealed about this villainess. She's the ruler of a vast empire on another world who had been long exiled on Earth. (Anyone think that some of the stuff mentioned in X-Factor #10 has something to do with that?? Hmmm?) We now know that the Crystal was dispatched to earth to kill her as well. Seemingly unrelated plot strands are coming together to reveal a much clearer picture. Darkness is a major league villainess and will be around to torment our heroes for a long time.
Muskateer's Pick: Howler. This pick was also a bit of a surprise for me. In fact, as I sit here writing, I just asked myself, "why did I pick Howler?". Well, she did have a major role in the Young Champions stories and we are getting to see more of her background as well. There are things about her that I always took for granted before (and the fact she was blonde originally in our game), like her sultry voice and her paranoia, that we've gotten to actually see played out. No one else stood out as much for me, so she gets my vote. I just hope she doesn't scream if she wins.
Mind Slayer took the prize by a single vote. Lady Darkness, Rainbow Archer, and Scorpia tied for second, while Howler brought up the rear. Voters' comments:
Winner's Comments: "Gosh! This is quite an honor! I just wanted to thank everyone who voted for me"
Ironically, Mind Slayer was the winner of an informal poll that Muskateer and I held a few months back. The topic was, to put it delicately, the most endowed female among those with pictures. Mind Slayer won, with Morning Star coming in second. Yes, me and Muskateer have some very unusual conversations!
Rainbow Archer must have made the best of her lone appearance to tie for second with more established villainesses like Scorpia and Lady Darkness. Muskateer did a real nice job on her costume! Lady Darkness and Scorpia will both continue on with their diabolical plans in the year to come. Likewise, Howler's quest will continue. Stay tuned!
Spectrum's Comments: Hello Nurse, indeed! Mind Slayer finished second last year, but won this year. Mind Slayer and Scorpia have been among the more interesting characters that were changed for the website. The stuff with them and Terror Unlimited is all new to our campaign. There's quite a bit of back story to Mind Slayer and her eventual confrontation with Nightingale is very much looked forward too.
Spectrum's Pick: This should be an interesting category and we're very interested in what the voters think. Now I imagine that our perspective on this will probably be different than other voters. While the outfits that you're going to be choosing are relatively new to you, depending how long you've been frequenting the site, some of these costumes are as much as 16 years old to us. Almost commonplace by now which might tend to change our perceptions. Other factors include Muskateer's always improving artwork. Our new pictures are simply better than the older ones.
That all said, my choice ended up being Impact. Simply put, I thought he had the best costume out of all the guys.
Muskateer's Pick: Hornet. Can you say "another difficult choice"? I was torn between Muskateer, Photon, Blizzard, Terra Fire (I really like the unique-ness of his costume), possibly Impact and Hornet. I know we haven't even seen all of his costume, since only his head shot in the Avengers roll call can be seen so far. I just really like the look and I know in my head what's there for most of the rest of it. (I also like a costume he is going to be getting in the future, but that's a whole different story.) I always have liked armored characters.
No one was voted for more than once, so it's a massive tie! Those males voted for included: Black Paladin, Blade, Fist, Gladiator, Hornet, Impact, Spectrum, Terra Fire, and the Thing. Let's see what our voters had to say:
Fashion has never been one of my strong suits, so those costumes that I've designed stem more from matching up the characters powers rather than being stylish. Spectrum and Gladiator's outfits came about this way. Blade and Black Paladin's costumes were designed by their creators at Hero Games. The Thing is from the comics, of course.
Typically, Muskateer and I will discuss what someone's costume should look like before he draws them. I may offer suggestions as he works, but for the most part he is the one responsible for how our original characters look. Impact, Terra Fire, and FIST were all his creations. Perhaps next year we'll have a clear cut winner.
Spectrum's Comments: It's not surprising that there was no clear cut winner in this category. The ideal of what's fashionable differs so much from individual to individual and our results reflect this.
Well, you might see a theme developing here: I picked Spinnerette as my favorite supporting female, chose her costume for Impact and now I'm picking the outfit she came up with for Satara. I like it because it's flattering to the character while at the same time being unique looking. Looks like our new generation of heroes are also sharp dressed ones!
Muskateer's Pick: Shockwave. Would you believe another vote for an armored one? I especially like the color combination on Shockwave's new armor. This look is much more what I was originally trying for when I first drew her. It just didn't seem to make it out. This version is much more streamlined and attractive. I spent quite a bit of time looking at the image after it was shaded. I surprised myself on this one.
I had some leanings toward Satara's new duds, as well as the Tigress (a rather old costume for us), Mockingbird and Lady Bug. I also happen to like the Enchantress, Willow Witch and Spinnerette quite a bit as well.
Shockwave and Spinnerette were the only ones to receive more than one vote and they ended up deadlocked. Those voted for included: Satara, Huntress, Lady Bug, Mind Slayer, and the Enchantress. Voters' comments:
Winner's Comments: Shockwave - "So the Empress thinks I have no fashion sense? Funny, she didn't even get a single vote." Spinnerette - "Hey, when you got it, you got it! Who can argue with Mr. Blackwell?"
Mind Slayer's outfit, what there is of it, was all Muskateer's creation. Certainly much nicer than the Playboy Bunny outfit from Champions games or her Mind Games incarnation! The Enchantress has had several costumes thus far and that trend will probably continue. Personally, I think Musky just likes drawing her! There's a possibility of the Huntress getting a new costume. Musky claims that he has some ideas. We'll just have to wait and see if anything pans out.
I was surprised, in fact, that Ladybug turned out so nice. Of course, her old picture from the earlier Champions books really sucked. And yes, I do enjoy drawing Gwen, so no reason for her not to have lots of costumes. I don't see her quite like the Wasp with a different costume every few issues, but we should see regular changes over time. The Huntress will be getting a new costume from me, just not sure when. I have it almost figured out in my head, but it's missing something yet. Have to see how it finishes. As far as the rest of the ladies go out there, I don't have any current plans for costume changes, but then the pictures just come at me out of the blue sometimes. That's what happened with Impact and Satara. Tempest may see a slight costume change and I am looking forward to seeing Nebula in print.
Spectrum's Comments: This one might have also been a tie, but at least there were clear cut winners. As I said above, Shockwave's new armor is fantastic. As noted in our own stories, Spin's always been among the best dressed heroines. Ladybug was a bit of a surprise, but her picture did turn out rather nice. I know Musky was surprised when I showed it to him for the first time for final editing.
Spectrum's Pick: I have to go with the series I chose last year: the Avengers. Ranging from the battle with the Ravager to confronting the vampires, the Avengers have had a great year. Runners up would have to be Young Champions and Troubleshooters. The Purple Phlox arc was also one of my favorites.
Muskateer's Pick: Lost Heroes. The Avengers would be a close second and they had a great couple issues this year, but this title is still my favorite. It is something quite different and it has so much to draw from and twist and expand upon. I can't wait to get on with some of the upcoming parts of this series. There is so much to tell. I know you won't be disappointed.
Lost Heroes and X-Factor tied for second, with the Huntress coming in fourth place. And now our voters speak:
Lost Heroes is a very interesting series and I'm really looking forward to the stuff that's coming up. I like how it toys with some of the things that could and will happen in our other series. I just have to try and get Muskateer in front of the keyboard more often. When he's not drawing of course!
To me, X-Factor seems more character driven than the Avengers are. The interplay between the various personalities can be very interesting at times. I will let you guys in on a little secret-- there will be a change in the membership of X-Factor this year!
The Huntress is probably one of my more favorite of characters out of everyone on the site. Her series is really going to cook next year and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if the Huntress makes a major bid for best series for the 2001 awards! Stay tuned!
I personally love Lost Heroes. It's just so darn intriguing and fun to tinker with. The possibilities are many and there's so much to tell. The current issue (#5) has been sporadic for me to get written, unfortunately. It just hasn't clicled like before, but I can tell you there's a big surprise on the way!
I used to be the main writer on X-Factor long ago, but my time hasn't really allowed that. Maybe I'll get a chance to pen a couple issues along the way. I like the team a lot and many of the members are some of my favorite characters in our world. Not surprising that X-Factor will be changing members. The team's been stable compared to the original incarnation. Some attitudes just may start tearing the team at the seams in the coming year. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Spectrum's Comments: This ended up being a closer contest by the end of the voting period than at the beginning. Still, the Avengers took in 50% of the popular vote. As I've said before, it's our flagship title.
Spectrum's Pick: Thankfully, there aren't as many issues to choose from this year as compared to last year. There were some really good issues out there and picking out the best isn't easy. My personal favorites have to be Young Champions #16, Troubleshooters #14 & 15, Muskateer #20, Lost Heroes #3.
The one that beats them all is Avengers #25, the titanic tussle with the Ravager. You had action, you had humor, you had stuff being destroyed, bodies flying and mass destruction. It's also the biggest file on the site. This one was equally written by Muskateer and myself. Try telling the Ravager that this one wasn't our best work.
Muskateer's Pick: Avengers #25. I was torn between Lost Heroes #3, #4 and this file as the best ones. I think in the end the fact it was so darn big and so much happened in it and it stayed consistently good throughout led me to vote for this file. Like Spec said above, there was an awful lot going on and a lot of emotions involved. Very happy with the result.
Lost Heroes #3 and Young Champions #16 tied for second with, Avengers #28 and Lost Heroes #4 tying for 4th place. Let's see what our voters said:
Young Champions #16 was the funniest file of the year, perhaps on the entire site. Once I hit upon the various storylines in it, the file just fell into place and virtually wrote itself.
Lost Heroes #4 is a good choice as it showcased some terrific action. Personally, I liked the interludes with Resonator myself. Then again, I'm biased since I wrote those bits! Avengers #28 was a bit of a surprise. As I noted in the year in review file, this was a very difficult one to write. It did turn out very well and I'm pleased that it was among those files voted for.
Lost Heroes #4 and Avengers #28 were each good examples of us filling in holes that the other were having troubles with. Young Champions #16 was a good change of pace issue.
Spectrum's Comments: No complaints from me as the top three were among my favorites. As we noted above, it was the sheer scope of Avengers #25 that made it the superior file. Lost Heroes #3 would have been my next choice. By the time I go to format a file for the website, I've probably read the file at least a dozen times or so. There are times I'm actually sick of the file by this point. Lost Heroes #3 was the only file that I actually said "Wow!" upon finishing its formatting. It does help that I know exactly what everything in it means and the events that it will lead to.
Spectrum's Pick: My Best Moment was Sapphire's date. It's perhaps the funniest stuff that I've ever written. It's awful hard to type when you're laughing so hard. The humorous side of Sapphire doesn't show up all that often, but when it does look out! It makes for interesting commentary on what we humans take for granted.
Muskateer's Pick: Muskateer finishing off Resonator. For me (and Muskateer) this moment was very stirring. This character had lost his way and managed to regain his focus and direction. It was drawn out in a very morbid and almost gruesome manner, but Resonator finally got what was coming to him and Muskateer is back on track again. The Last Avenger is living up to his name again. Stay tuned to see if this is ultimately a good thing or a bad thing.
Sapphire's Date and Musky finishing off Resonator!
Here are the other choices and their reasons as given by our other voters:
Icicle's surrender is likewise a major event in her life. Will she be able to turn away from her criminal nature or will she backslide? Stay tuned!
There weren't as many choices this year as the previous awards, but a lot less files to choose from as well. We already have a number of stirring moments planned for 2001. This is always an interesting category for me.
Spectrum's Comments: Interesting as both of our choices tied for the Best Moment. You guys came up with some really good choices this year, including a few that I overlooked. Firestar & Terra Fire's first kiss was a very important happening in their young lives. This wasn't something that was planned on happening. As our voter noted, it just felt right as I wrote the scene.
Spectrum's Pick: The character that I want to see more of is the Purple Phlox. There's still much about the character that we don't even know. But just from her origin mini-series you can see that there's a lot of potential for our new Phlox as she tries to live up to the new responsibility she now bears.
Muskateer's Pick: Mockingbird. There are quite a few characters that I would like to do some more work on and have plots advanced or else explore more about them. Mockingbird has a very interesting back story, much more complicated than what appears on the surface and there are some interesting plans in the works for her. I have lots of little secrets about this character that haven't been able to be explored just yet.
I would also like to see more of Ankylosaur, Starbolt, the Tigress, Shockwave, Photon (my vote last year), and the Purple Phlox.
Purple Phlox, Mockingbird, Icicle, Jeeves, Black Paladin, Thing, Wildcards/Silver Spectre, and the call for a Champions version of Thor or Wolverine were the ballots cast.
Look for the Wildcards and Silver Spectre to turn up somewhere in the East Coast titles-- Avengers, Huntress, & Muskateer and, potentially, in their own Troubleshooters Mini-Series! As for Thor and Wolverine, well, probably the closest were are going to get are Satara and Scorpia!
Funny, Spec says he wants to see more of Purple Phlox and then says she may not even appear this year. Somebody send him an e-mail and tell him to write her next story!
Spectrum's Comments: Icicle and Mockingbird will continue to appear in X-Factor and we'll get into their back story there. Jeeves and the Thing are Avengers regulars of course. We'll try to give them some more screen time. By popular demand, Black Paladin will appear this year. I promise!
Spectrum's Final Comments: I want to thank everyone who took the time to vote in our little awards. Special thanks go out to Bruce, Leslie, Des, Joe, Mitchel, and Gordon for your comments and insights. I was a bit concerned this year as last year almost everyone voted during the opening weeks of the contest. This time out the majority were received in the last two weeks. However, we did fail to match last years totals by 2 voters. Unfortunately we ended up with some ties this year, but they had to be expected given the nature of some of the categories. Still, things did turn out pretty well.
Not much else to add at this point. Just thanks once again and we'll see how next year's awards turn out! Goodnight everybody!
Muskateer's Final Comments: It's great to hear the interest and feedback that's out there over our little world. We'd probably still be writing (though not to this extravangance), even if no one else could see it. Thanks especially to our regulars. Remember, comments are always welcome! Tell your friends about us...
