Known Powers:

The Tigress is a mutant with cat-like powers. While she doesn't have any obvious cat traits, claws, tail, fur, etc, the Tigress' senses are far superior to a normal human's. Her eyes are vertically slitted like those of a cat and she can see as well at night as during the day. Likewise her sense of hearing and smell are much stronger. The Tigress can leap like a feline, covering up to seventy feet with a running start. Like all felines, the Tigress always lands on her feet and is quick and graceful.

Notes:

The Tigress was among the first to join the Young Champions program. Her dormant powers were brought out thanks to Genocide. Registering as a mutant, but not yet displaying any special powers, Erica was captured by Genocide and experimented upon. Fortunately for her, the base where she was being worked on was raided by the Protectors and she was spared the typical complete Genocide treatment.

The further mutation thanks to Genocide has intensified some cat-like tendencies. Not that she is a cat in human form, but the qualities do influence her personality. She is extremely curious and she tends to get herself into difficult situations that seem tempting. The Tigress also enjoys taunting and playing with her opponents. Erica's brother was killed when she was very young, giving her an extreme hatred of weapons, especially guns.

The Tigress is nearing the end of her time with the Young Champions and is already feeling the urge to move on. She plans on being a superheroine, but has not set plans on where. Although, her home area of San Diego is the most logical choice.

Recently, the Tigress' curiosity had gotten the best of her and she stowed away on the Jade Princess, a ship carrying Howler and her charges in a quest to find ancient artifacts. Erica had been under the impression that Tempest was being coerced into helping Howler. Much to her surprise, Tigress discovered that Tempest was in the employ of the sonic villainess.

During the trip, Tigress was captured by Agents of Malachite and was held prisoner on the Jade Prince, a submarine that was following the Jade Princess. Genetic samples were taken from Tigress by the scientists. Both vessels were later attacked by fish-men. One of the invaders was captured and taken for examination by the scientists. The fish-man escaped accidentally freeing Tigress in the process. The heroine managed to defeat the fish-man and ran into Tempest elsewhere in the submarine. Together, they forced the Jade Prince to the surface.

However, things didn't get any better as Tigress was taken prisoner by Howler and her band over the objections of Tempest. Having nowhere to run and unsure of Tempest's loyalties, Tigress bided her time. Daigon's rough treatment of her further aggravated the situation.

The situation remained uneasy for the next several days. Once reaching the marker islands, Tigress turned the tables on Daigon and defeated her twice in combat. She also defeated Panda and Raccoon in single combat. When Howler and Tempest returned to the Jade Princess, and with Panda and Raccoon looking for a rematch, the Tigress escaped to a nearby island. Much to her surprise, there was no pursuit.

Unknown to anyone, including Tempest, Tigress had made contact with Sanctuary. First on the Jade Prince and then later on the marker island. Two days later, Tigress was rescued by the rest of the Young Champions team on board the Wave Runner. Using a homing beacon secreted on the Jade Princess by Malachite's agents, the Young Champions are in pursuit of Howler.

The Young Champions caught up to Howler's gang at a collection of four islands. The inner island held many bizarre and exotic creatures long thought extinct. Including a baby sabre-toothed tiger that had picked up Tigress' scent. Much to her annoyance, Nemesis adopted the creature as a pet and named the beast 'Snuggles'.

While on the island, Tigress and Daigon got into it once more. The two battled in the jungle while the terrain was being strangely warped around them. Finally, Howler teleported Tigress on board Azkan's ship to help fight Zanthar. Tigress was furious to be taken away from her fight, but did assist in taking on Zanthar. Afterwards, she was teleported on board the Wave Runner and lost track of Daigon.

The Tigress was created and drawn by Muskateer.
