Known Powers:
The Texas Ranger is a budding telekinetic. He can move and manipulate objects with his mind. Ranger can create translucent, solid objects at will. These solid objects can be used to attack foes like a ram or to create barriers. Ranger can telekinetically fly.
Notes:
As a teenager, Ranger's parents sent him off to what they thought was a special school. His telekinetic abilities began to appear when he was twelve. Unfortunately, the school was a front for PSI and the lad was placed into their program for training psionics.
Fortunately, several members of what would become the Avengers raided the school only a few months after he arrived. He returned home only to find his parents were now missing. Fearing that PSI Operatives were still after him, the boy who would become the Texas Ranger fled to the southwest United States. There he lived on the range, taking jobs as a cowhand on cattle drives. He figured that he would be harder to find by staying away from regular civilization. In time, he used the cowboy/Texan culture to cultivate a new identity for himself: the Texas Ranger.
One day the Ranger heard about what had transpired at the Avengers Mansion and the death of several members. At that moment, he decided to come out of hiding and lend his aid to the team that had helped him in the past. And so, he set out for New York City. When Ranger arrived at the Avenger's Mansion, he discovered Dr. Destroyer attacking Black Diamond. Enraged, Ranger went to her aid and was promptly defeated by the master villain. Together with Black Diamond, he was taken captive as part of the Great Supervillain Contest. As a reward for his assistance in the war against the Crimson Claw, Ranger was made an Avenger Reservist..
Personally, the Ranger has revealed very little about his past, or even his true name to his new teammates. He is highly attracted to the Huntress, although this heroine is just becoming aware of his interest. The Huntress mother, Felina, approves of his interest in her daughter. It was during the White Dragon affair that his teammates figured out that Ranger was sweet on the rough and tough Huntress as he went after the crimelord with a vengeance.
The Texas Ranger was created by Spectrum and drawn by Muskateer.

Terra Nova Notes:
Ranger's counterpart on the world of Terra Nova is known as Robert of the Forests. He is a crack shot with the longbow and doesn't appear to have any of Ranger's powers. Robert is in love with Lyndah, but has never revealed his true feelings to the swordswoman. He views her friendship with Captain Valor as a threat. Robert has a great dislike for the earthman.
