Known Powers:

The Sorceress is a young mage who, like all in her family with magical talent, has been trained in the art of magical warfare. Tanya is a skilled hand to hand combatant and has had sword training as well. The Sorceress is not a powerful spellcaster. She often uses her magic to amplify existing abilities.

To aid her on her quest to combat evil magic, the Sorceress uses several magical artifacts that she has uncovered. Among these ancient items is the mysterious Shadow Cloak, the Amulet of the Warrior, and the sword Reaver.

The Shadow Cloak gives its wearer the power of flight, the ability to turn invisible, to create patches of darkness, and to enter the shadow dimension. In addition, the Cloak offers additional physical protection and can actually deflect small objects thrown at the Sorceress of its own accord.

The Amulet of the Warrior boosts the Sorceress' fighting skills and allows her to be aware of potential threats in combat.

Reaver is a sword capable of hurting any foe. It can strike directly at an enemy's mind, even those who are intangible.

During her days with the Circle, Tanya formed a magical link to her good friend the Enchantress. This link still exists, but is limited by distance. It functions only when the two are within twenty miles of each other. Through this link, the two can communicate freely with each other.

Notes:

The Chamberlains is an arm of the Vandaleurs family that have renounced their cousins' misuse of their magical talents and have developed ways to combat the those who would use magic for evil purposes. Each Chamberlain with magical talents is given combat training during their youth. In addition, Tanya was further tutored by the Master of the Circle in the ways of magic. Her long friendships with the Enchantress and Warlock were formed during these days.

The Chamberlains were a part of the Texas oil boom and used it to increase their already impressive wealth many times over. Tanya uses part of her inheritance to finance the Superior Seven along with Captain Lightning. In addtion, the Chamberlain Foundation does much charitable work in the Dallas area.

The true identity of the Sorceress is publicly known. Most of her family possesses magical ability to some degree, so they are not in any great danger from this information falling into the wrong hands. Tanya's cousin is the fiery hero Starbolt.

The Sorceress has taken a great interest in magical items. She has spent years in researching and tracking down such objects. Her three greatest finds are Reaver, the Shadow Cloak, and the Amulet of the Warrior. She has other items in her possession, but they are minor magicks at best and not typically used on missions. Her desire to collect magic items has brought her into conflict with DEMON, Lady Bale, and the Black Paladin in the past.

While on a skiing vacation in Apsen with the Enchantress, Tanya helped in the re-imprisoning of a demon that had escaped. The two magical heroines were assisted by the modern day incarnation of the Purple Phlox.

During the Cinco de Mayo celebration the Sorceress was attacked by Black Paladin and Lady Bale and captured. Her Shadow Cloak was taken by Black Paladin who used the Lesser Emerald Eye of Azog to wrench the location of Tanya's cache of evil magic items. Fortunately, the Superior Six were able to stop the evil knight and retrieve Tanya's Cloak.

After years of working together and being friends, it appears that Tanya and Captain Lightning's relationship is taking on a new and different meaning. The two shared a romantic dinner together and could be on the verge of a romantic relationship.

Recently, Tanya was summoned to New York City to help locate the missing Enchantress who had been captured by Lady Darkness for some unknown reason.
