Known Powers:

Satara has inherited her mother's super strength and toughness. In addition, she uses a special weapon from her homeworld of Ean: a Satara. Her namesake weapon resembles a single bladed battle axe with a hammer on the back side. Satara can use either side of her weapon in combat.

Notes:

Satara, given name Yrsa Carstairs, is the daughter of the Blood Warrior Blade and his wife Bryn. She is also the younger sister of X-Factor's Sabre. Satara has inherited powers from both of her parents, but mostly from her mother. She lacks the standard Blood abilities of energy projection and enhanced vision, but more than makes up for these shortcomings with her super strength and stamina.

Yrsa is fascinated by her dual heritage, but more so with the Norse side of her family. She truly believes that she is a descendent of the Norse Deities. Satara tends to be warlike in battle like her ancestors, but isn't as quick to fly off the handle as her mother. She has learned basic medical skills from her mother.

As a Blood, Satara shares their disadvantages, such as being detected as a mutant on Earth scanning devices in spite of the fact that she is not truly a mutant. This makes her a target for Genocide. Being Blood ensures that the Bloodletter is interested in her. Her estranged uncle, Affrighter, hunts his nieces and nephews because he is incapable of siring children of his own.

Satara is the cousin of Firestar and the two girls get along very well and are the same age. Satara is trying to talk Firestar into attending college in Los Angeles so that they could be roommates. In spite of her ancient/otherworldly origins, Yrsa is very much a California girl who loves the beach, surfing, and roller blading.

Satara has begun to follow in her brother's footsteps, becoming more and more active as a hero. She assisted in the battle against the Crimson Claw, and then helped the injured after the battle. Later, she helped out X-Factor when they raided the Los Angeles VIPER's Nest. Recently, Satara received a new costume courtesy of Spinnerette.

At Sabre's suggestion, Satara visited Icicle. Sabre thought Icicle could use the company of someone closer to her own age. The two did hit it off. Later, Satara accompanied X-Factor on a mission to rescue Blizzard and ended up encountered a horde of villians at the Thugmater's Elite Graduation ceremonies. Satara defeated Chaos in combat and helped X-Factor take down Powerhouse.

Satara was created by Spectrum, with art by Muskateer. Her family, Blade, Bryn, & Sabre were created by Aaron Allston and appeared in Organization Book #3: The Blood & Dr. McQuark.
