Poltergeist is a mutant with the ability to move things with her mind. She has a variety of telekinetic stunts she can perform. Her control ranges from lifting large objects weighing thousands of pounds to being able to manipulate tools and do fine detail work. Additionally, Poltergeist can fly and deflect objects thrown at her. A similar deflection field protects her from injury.

Notes:

Sharon's mutant abilities first manifested themselves while she was a teenager. They frightened her at first and caused her to ignore them. Sharon married shortly after high school and settled into the role of housewife. Children soon followed.

As she got older, Sharon began to experiment with her powers more and more, using them to perform simple tasks around house. With practice, she was able to hone her abilities to a fine degree. However, Sharon had no desire to get dressed in a costume and become one of the many superbeings appearing in the world.

This was all changed when Sharon's husband was laid off from his job. With bills piling up and unemployment nearly run out, Sharon saw the announcement that the Wild Cards were looking to employ superhumans. After some discussion, Sharon decided to apply to the Wild Cards. She adopted the name Poltergeist and designed a costume to protect her family.

Poltergeist was accepted into the Wild Cards and placed on the main team due to her impressive telekinetic abilities. Sharon sees this as only a temporary situation until her family can get back on their feet. Her stay in the Wild Cards will only be as long as necessary.

Poltergeist herself is a typical suburban housewife. She has no combat skills to speak of and has yet to use her powers in a combat situation. As Poltergeist, Sharon tends to fly as much as possible as it takes no great effort on her part.
