Panda is a mutant with minor psionic abilities and physical speed and agility. She can attack the minds of others or seal her mind off from mental attacks. She has a nose for danger and is rarely surprised in battle. Panda also has several minor mental abilities, such as being able to sense psionic powers in action around her and the ability to locate other minds.

Notes:

Ginger was born to a poor British family. They couldn't deal with her mutation, i.e. the panda bear-like ears, and left the infant girl on the doorstep of an orphanage. Her unusual appearance made her the target of ridicule from the other orphans. This went on for many years.

One day while in her teens, Ginger's mental abilities surfaced. She was being beaten by a gang of kids when she mentally fought back. Her attackers soon lay unconscious at her feet. Terrified at what she had done, Ginger ran.

Shortly after that, Ginger was captured by PSI operatives and taken to one of their hidden training schools in Europe. They took Ginger in and trained her physically and mentally. It was not the most pleasant of experiences, but was nicer than her time in the orphanage. Adopting the name Panda, Ginger became one of PSI's more effective operatives.

One day, Panda was dispatched to America. PSI operations in the American Midwest were being attacked by VIPER and one of their agents in particular: Raccoon. Panda tracked Raccoon, cornering him. But instead of killing him, she fell in love with him. The two talked for a time, sharing their life histories. VIPER Agents showed up and attempted to kill Panda This sent Raccoon into a rage and he slew many VIPER Agents while Panda fled.

Raccoon caught up with Panda shortly afterwards and the two were married a few months later. Since that time, they both have been hunted by their former employers: PSI and VIPER. Both organizations nearly captured the two while in Detroit, but they managed to escape. The pair has lived life on the run since that time, hiring out their services as mercenaries.

Years later, both were captured by GENOCIDE as part of their Arena experiment. In this mentally created landscape they met many other mutants such as Spectrum, Icicle, Shadow Queen, Mind Slayer, Void, and Black Mamba. Together they managed to escape and Panda and Raccoon slipped off unnoticed.

The duo participated in the Great Supervillain Contest, but were not serious contenders. They participated in several attacks on various heroes and helped first defend and then later attack the Crimson Claw's lair during the Assault of the Heroes.

Weary after these recent adventures, the couple went to Sanctuary to relax. There they were contacted by Howler to join up with her on a quest to locate ancient artifacts. The couple agreed and they signed on with Howler. During the trip, they were betrayed by Howler's employers and had genetic samples removed from their bodies. They also came into conflict with Tigress as well. Panda would like to get another shot at the feline Young Champion.

While on Azkan's island, the group was betrayed by Daigon who had been in the employ of Malachite all along. The two went along with this for a time, but then fled when the Young Champions arrived on the scene. The couple stole the Jade Princess and sailed away. A tracking device was found by Raccoon and tossed overboard. Later, a stash of money was liberated from a safe. The immediate future looks quite cheery for the mutant husband and wife.

Panda was originally created by Stacy Thain and upgraded to 4th Edition by Scott Bennie. She was modified for our campaign by Spectrum.
