Notes:

So often true genius is misunderstood. Such was the case with Stephen Fuergeson, a brilliant child who showed an aptitude for science at an early age. He was only nine years old when he blew up his parents house during a chemical experiment. Many other unexpected side effects from his experiments landed the young Fuergeson in juvenile detention several times.

Appearing to have turned over a new leaf, Fuergeson managed to get through college without causing any major mishaps. Fuergeson then accepted a job at the newly opened Tyler Labs, founded by the esteemed Dr. Elias Tyler. Fuergeson was excited at first, but quickly came to realize that there was nothing he could learn from Dr. Tyler. His own genius dwarfed that of the labs founder.

Fuergeson performed his job at Tyler Lab's well enough to avoid termination, but just barely. He often would work on his own projects instead of what was assigned to him. The situation came to a head when a device Fuergeson was working on literally blew up in his face. The explosion did major damage to Tyler Lab's and nearly blinded Fuergeson in the process. Dr. Tyler had little choice but to fire Fuergeson over the incident.

In addition to nearly blinding him, the explosion snapped what tenuous grasp Fuergeson had on reality. He blamed Tyler Lab's for his accident, that his co-workers had sabotaged his experiment in an attempt to eliminate him. They would all pay dearly for crossing Fuergeson! One day Stephen Fuergeson simply dropped out of sight.

It was several years later when Fuergeson the Great appeared on the scene, calling himself the "Emperor of Technology". Fuergeson attacked Tyler Lab's with a remote controlled tank that he dubbed 'The Terrible Tank'. This action was a diversion as Fuergeson and his men were looking to steal an experimental mini-submarine. When the theft was foiled, Fuergeson then attempted to crash his cargo plane into the Science Building. Both acts of villainy were thwarted by Muskateer and the Scarlet Sabre.

With his revenge against Tyler Lab's thwarted Fuergeson the Great turned his attention elsewhere. Noted computer expert Jessica Flynn caught his eye next. Her genius when it came to computers even impressed Fuergeson. Plus the fact that she was an attractive woman settled in Fuergeson's mind. Ms, Flynn would make the perfect Empress of Technology! She was become Fuergeson's bride!

Fuergeson acquired a slew of robots from the villain Professor Malevolence to use in his attempts to kidnap Jessica Flynn. Fuergeson modified some of the robots, adding a few new wrinkles to them. This robotic army was sent to attack CII, drawing their security forces away from Ms. Flynn's lab and apartment. The plan worked to an extent, but when the robots reached the apartment, they found the Scarlet Sabre instead! Thanks to the efforts of the CII security force and the Freedom League, Fuergeson's horde was forced to retreat. Numerous robots where destroyed and otherwise damaged in the assault.

Undaunted, Fuergeson decided to kidnap Ms. Flynn at a press conference where the new HE 4000 computer series was being unveiled with the Lore 3000 processing chip. Fuergeson raided the press conference with his men and some robots, but was driven off by the combined efforts of Microwave of the Freedom League and a new hero calling himself Starguard.

Calculating that Ms. Flynn would return to Tyler Labs eventually in her capacity as Director of Operations, Fuergeson had a small squad of robots watch the faciltity. The day after the press conference, Ms. Flynn did show up at Tyler Labs and was captured along wth her boyfriend Kyle Sherwood. Using Kyle as leverage, Fuergeson was all set to marry Ms. Flynn when Starguard showed up to ruin his plans once more. Fuergeson fled in his base of operations, a flying saucer, and was last seen with Starguard pursuing him.

It remains to be seen what Fuergeson will do next, or if he will try any further attempts to make Jessica Flynn his bride.
