Blizzard is a mutant with the ability to create and project ice. His main attack forms are a solid mass of ice, or a sharp jagged shower of icicles. Blizzard can cover his foes with ice, or coat a large area with ice. Defensively, he can coat himself in ice for protection, or erect walls of solid ice. Blizzard moves about by creating an ice slide before him.

Blizzard is an example of what happens when an average person gains super powers. Never having much of a professional career, Blizzard is using the Hero for Hire concept as his meal ticket. Since gaining super powers, Blizzard has been caught up in the pageantry of being a super hero. Blizzard comes across as being somewhat brash and arrogant, but not annoyingly so, because his powers make him feel superior to the average person.

Since the battle at the Tanghal Tower, Blizzard and the Empress have been dating. However, Blizzard feels much stronger about the relationship then the Empress does. Blizzard, along with the Empress, Shockwave, Sabre, Morning Star and Spectrum, formed the fledgling hero team, X-Factor.

In spite of being a member of X-Factor, Blizzard maintains his Heroes for Hire business. Past assignments include guarding Lawrence Technologies from future incursions by the forces of Iron Maiden. Although, Shockwave has bowed out of the organization since acquiring a full time job, the Empress and Impact have been added. Currently celebrity superstar Sheila Grace has acquired the services of Heroes for Hire.

While in the employ of Sheila Grace, Heroes for Hire prevented a robbery by Foxbat and Shadow Queen only in turn to be attacked by the Thugmaster's Elite. Blizzard and Impact were captured and taken to the graduation ceremonies of the Elite. Using a fight between Terror Unlimited and Terror Incorporated to their advange, the heroes escaped.

Unknown to Blizzard, the Empress has been seeing Impact behind his back. Blizzard himself has no idea this is going on as Angie continues to act like Blizzard's girlfriend.
