Known Powers:
Blaise is a fledgling sorceress. Her spell casting is limited to memorized spells and she must study to change those spells.
Notes:
From a very early age, Blaise always wanted to be a witch. She delved into the occult while in her teens and managed to steal a spell book from an occult bookstore. The bookstore owner never realized that he had a genuine tome of spells in his possession. Blaise taught herself the basics of spellcasting with a great deal of trial and error.
While in high school, Blaise was not popular or part of the 'In Crowd' in spite of her good looks. The boys teased her for being spooky and for calling herself a witch. A few properly placed enchantments gained Blaise a measure of revenge and just further cemented her reputation. Because of the treatment she received in high school, Blaise tends to expect the worst when it comes to men. She takes great delight in using and humiliating them.
Once out of high school, Blaise continued to practice her dark art and hungrily sought out new spells and enchanted items to increase her personal power. While in New York City tracking down a mystic tome, Blaise heard a rumor of a powerful sorceress that was serving as the commander for the local DEMON Base. Blaise tracked Lady Darkness down and begged to be taken on as an apprentice. Lady Darkness agreed.
Thanks to the tutelage of Lady Darkness, Blaise's power did increase. However, Blaise never realized just what she was getting herself into. Lady Darkness' lust for power put Blaise's to shame. Thanks to the magical artifact known as the Stone Crown, Lady Darkness was able to dominate multiple minds seemingly for her own amusement. She enjoyed manipulating, tormenting, and torturing others. By the time Blaise realized what Lady Darkness was all about, she was past the point of no return. Lady Darkness would never let her leave and Blaise was too afraid to cross the arch-villainess. And so Blaise served Lady Darkness as best she could and tried to hide the revulsion she that was feeling.
At Lady Darkness' direction, Blaise was made to wear a tight black catsuit as a uniform, as it was similar to the outfit Lady Darkness herself wore. Not that Blaise really minded. She was always a bit vain about her looks and liked to dress sexy. Black was her favorite color as well.
Blaise played a pivotal role in Lady Darkness' deception with the Avengers. Disguised as Lady Darkness herself, Blaise was captured and imprisoned at Ryker's Island, along with the Chameleon who had been impersonating Lord Evil. The demon that they had summoned actually temporarily neutralized Blaise's powers, but they returned after a few days of rest. Both Blaise and the Chameleon were rescued when Lady Darkness took over Ryker's Island.
Blaise continued to serve Lady Darkness until Muskateer, the Sorceress, and the Scarlet Sabre raided the Carrington Mansion. Blaise was defeated in battle by the Scarlet Sabre. Relieved to be free from Lady Darkness' influence, Blaise happily told the Avengers everything she knew about Lady Darkness. Blaise is currently being held in Ryker's Island and is awaiting trial.
